Set in a converted cluster of fisherman’s houses along Portree Harbour the hotel offers plenty of character and quirks. There are 17 en-suite bedrooms with all expected facilities.

Bedrooms could do with an update/upgrade, being as you're paying the higher end of hotel prices.Having said that it was extremely clean, with lovely bedding and white fluffy towels. Food in the restaurant was excellent, location superb. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
If you are looking for luxury accommodation with great Highland Hospitality in Skye, then look no further than historic Skeabost House Hotel, a family owned boutique hotel, part of the Sonas Hotel...

Overall the hotel is a unique experience. The room had great views. The bed was very comfortable. We used the sauna and cold pool and it was a fun experience (although the same experience at a hotel elsewhere was better). The breakfast was very good, especially if you order from the kitchen, but this was not entirely clear at the beginning. There seemed to be a new dining experience from previous reviews, the food was excellent, some of the best food we had on our trip, but service was hit and miss.
With spectacular views across Portree Harbour, Coolin View Guest House is situated in Portree centre. There is free parking and free WiFi.

No breakfast, old plumbing, poor air quality, gave me allergy, probably mild and dust. Small room, view of a cement wall. Noisy every time someone used the stairs, doors slamming. The place looked shabby, unloved. Needs to be updated.
Located within 37 km of Dunvegan Castle in Portree, Rockview offers accommodation with seating area. Featuring sea and mountain views, this bed and breakfast also offers free WiFi.

Fantastatic breakfast in a cute environment. Lovely place to stay. Great location situated with a great view and close to the city centre with everything in walking distance.
On average, 3-star hotels in Portree cost £212 per night, and 4-star hotels in Portree are £255 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Portree can on average be found for £343 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
Visited in May and it was very busy. Good for access to rest of Skye. Restaurants didn't open for the full week, despite the resort being "full" (according to availability of accommodation). Also many don't take bookings so unless you want to eat at 5.30pm you have to stand outside in a queue for a table to become free.

A location for myths, legends and beautiful nature.
A location for myths, legends and beautiful nature.
Things to see and do:
1. Plunge your face in the water under Sligachan Bridge for a faerie blessing.
2. Hike up to the old man of Storr.
3. Go to the top of the Bride Veil's Falls and drink a sip for good luck.
4. Visit Talisker (Book months in advance for a distillery tour), but the visitor shop is worthwhile regardless - you can engrave a bottle or draw your own bottle from a cask yourself without a tour.
We spent more time in the surrounding areas than the actual town itself, special sites and nature. The town itself is good for a night or two, but I'd focus my efforts on the landscape of Skye instead of the inside of the shops of Skye.
Be sure to factor in opening times for certain restaurants. Most places have a "no booking" policy, so you can expect to stand in line when wanting to eat out at the recommended places.
Spots to eat that we tried:
- The Lower Deck Seafood (Queue 30min before opening time) located on the harbour side.
- The Isles Inn (Walk-in 30min before you're hungry) with live music almost every night around 21:00ish.
Spots for great coffee:
Talisker - just outside they have Caora Dhubh Coffee Company. Worth the coffee itself if you're after the best cup of coffee in Skye.

Portree is lovely.
Portree is lovely. We visited in early may and the crowds were mostly manageable. I would be a little concerned in the heart of the season. My suggestion to the powers that be would be to consider shuttle busses to the popular sites from centralized collection points; discourage rental cars from driving to the sites independently in some way. The small roads and on-site car parks can become overly crowded. We couldn't get near Quiraing for the traffic on the winding one lane road. In all other respects, Skye and Portree are lovely and a pleasure to visit.

I only spent one night in Portree so my judgement is limited. Even before the tourist season started, it was quite crowded. I can’t imagine what it must be like at the height of the season. Skye is lovely but expensive compared to other locations in Scotland.

favorite spot was driving though the Scottish highlands , we ate at it was lower deck seafood restaurant okay (do not liked their fish and chips terrible ! and don't recommend _ , but the scenery and peacefulness and landscape was heavenly
The view from Cuillin Hills is spectacular. It was truly a joy to pull into the carpark after a long journey to Skye and view Portree Harbour from the front lawn. All of the staff were incredibly warm and friendly and immediately made us feel welcome. Our evening meal was very good (the mussels in particular were delicious) and our room was extremely clean and comfortable, which resulted in 8 hours of deep and relaxing sleep. All in all, Cuillin Hills is a very well-run, guest-focused hotel, in a beautiful island setting. We will return.
We stayed here for 2 nights and it was honestly such a dream. The location is impossible to beat, right outside Portree and very close to The Storr. The room was cozy and very well furnished. Sally and Robin went out of their ways to make us feel welcome and our stay comfortable. We were here for our honeymoon and they wrote us a card and left us snacks when we arrived. The breakfast was delicious and Robin gave us recommendations for what to see on the Isle of Skye which we took and were so glad we did. Perfect B&B experience!
Breakfast was very nice and fairly priced. Our superior double room was lovely with all of the features you need and more. We loved the soap from the Highland Soap Co too! The Isle of Skye was the most beautiful place we’ve ever been to and the Marmalade Hotel is perfectly situated in Portree, so you’re never too far from anything that Skye has to offer. I would highly recommend visiting the Fairy Pools and Kilt Rock/Mealt Falls, both are incredible views.
Creagory Skye is just a lovely, warm and comfortable B&B that I would recommend to anyone staying in Portree. Our hosts were exceptional, friendly and the breakfast was fantastic...a true home-cooked meal. The location was very quiet and the beds extremely comfortable. This little lodge felt like a home away from home - we had a wonderful stay. Next time we visit the Isle of Skye, we will absolutely be staying at Creagory Skye again!
We stayed here for one night while we traveled Skye. The hotel was perfect for what we needed and the location was right in the square of Portree. Although they don’t have parking there is a long stay car park minutes walk from the hotel and it’s only £4 for 24hrs.
We decided to have dinner at the hotel and it was incredible!! The food, presentation and value for money was spot on. The staff were also extremely attentive and helpful.
The Apartment was a great place for our short stay on the Isle of Skye.
Allocated Parking Space for Each Apartment, to the left of them meant everyone had close access.
Basic Tea/Coffee provided on arrival. Able to cook our meals and Sky Access on the TV, appreciated.
Bedroom was comfortable.
10 minute walk takes you to the harbour heart of Portree where Restaurants and Food shop are available.
Would Recommend.
Good location in the middle of the higland and near to Portree (10 minutes by car) where you cam found market, pub and restaurants.
It was perfetc for our roadtrip in the higlands.
It’s a camping pod not a hotel room so you don’t expect alle the conmfort that you can found in a usal hotel.
The Staff is fantastic, they were always available from the booking and they help us with all our request
Excellent hotel , great food , clean and comfortable room.
Our week stay was greatly enhanced by the team who work at the hotel , friendly , helpful and happy to spend time sharing their knowledge of the area.
Hotel location is perfect for exploring the Island and only 10 minute's walk into Portree. Plenty of parking available at the hotel with easy vehicle access .
We have been travelling and overnighting in Scotland for just over a week staying in very good locations and accommodations.
In addition to the beauty of the Isle of Skye Portree Guest House has been our favourite - Mike made us feel so welcome and is an amazing host. We loved our stay there - would definitely recommend.........and breakfast was just the best!
Trotternish B&B was the highlight of our B&B experiences in Scotland. Beautiful scenery, lovely & spacious rooms, welcoming and charming hosts, truly amazing food and service. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay on the Isle of Skye. Thank you for making this such a great stay for all of us!!
Excellent location with a great view of the water/portree, Breakfast was amazing on everyday we were at this hotel, We had dinner twice at this hotel, and left full and happy each time, Cuillin Hills is a great location to stay when you are exploring Isle of Sky
The hotel is a bit out of Portree but, it is well worth the 10 minute drive to stay here. The grounds are beautiful, the food was wonderful and the staff was incredible. We could not have asked for a more peaceful and welcoming experience.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Isle of Skye camping pods. The space was a lot more spacious than I expected, and the toilet was a luxury for a camping pod. The grounds were clean, and the night time was extremely peaceful and pleasant.
Great location. Large house that is well stocked with most everything you need. Great showers/baths. Very modern but comfy. Easy walk to downtown Portree, and easy drive to the major Skye sights, or just to get groceries.
The hotel is in a very good location and has its free private parking which is very helpful in Portree where all parking is timed and parking areas require payment. The room was comfortable.
Beautiful new hotel, price on the higher side vs what you can get in the island, like Edinbane Inn or Three Chinneys. It should have been 30% cheaper for it to be value for money.
Nice view of horses in field from window.
Able to use breakfast room to eat in the evening. Hotels in Portree are all fully booked or have long waiting times.
You really had the feeling of living on the Isle of Skye rather than staying in an old hotel in town. The staff were absolutely great and very helpful.
