. We loved the hotel even though it is dated. Plenty of character and very comfortable. The location is perfect and the next time we stay we will book a room with a view of Snowdonia. The area where the benches were was ideal for an afternoon in the sun (we were lucky - the weather was good) and a drink before our evening meal.

The Panton Arms is a great local pub with delicious food (can recommend the mac & cheese, fish & chips, sea bass, and wood fired pizzas.. the latter are available for takeaway but only available after 4ish) also dog friendly, the staff were great!
The garage shop is well stocked
10 minutes drive from Beaumaris, similar to Menai.
Great beach/es and coastal walk
The roads can be narrow in places, I would suggest fairly confident drivers as there are narrow passing places and may need to reverse but the main roads through are fine

Lovely quiet village with close access to pubs, beaches and a few shops. Although we only stayed 1 night there were plenty of small bays and coves within a 10min drive which were beautiful as is the whole of Anglesey

We were able to visit a number of beautiful coastal resorts within easy reach of Pentraeth such as Red Wharf Bay, Benllech, Moelfre and Beaumaris.
We enjoyed some great food experiences at the Freckled Angel in Menai Bridge and the Old Boathouse in Red Wharf Bay.

We like it quiet, no hustle or bustle. Pub in walking distance, so you can have a drink with your meal safely. Several shops . A local beach within 1/2 mile with lovely views and walks. Had meals at the 2 local pubs. Carvery at the Bull was excellent.

Several lovely beaches for a stroll or play.
We ate at the Ship Inn at Red Wharf Bay, and it was very good.
Visit to Moelfre is a must, and the drive around the north of the island was well worth it for the views.

There is not much in Pentraeth, I would say it is more of a base to explore Anglesey, There is a lovely pub called the Panton Arms and the Bull Inn about 10mins apart by foot both lovely and friendly, the chinese takeaway is definitely one to try having said that it would not prevent us staying in this area again
