This is a really nice hotel. It's inviting and comfortable. Our room was gorgeous, no other way to describe it and the bathroom was as well. Breakfast was from a short menu and was well cooked and presented. We had dinner as well and this was good and dessert was great. Staff are pleasant and helpful. The private car park is just across the road so not a problem. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The royal station hotel has a welcoming and helpful staff. The room was light and large, the bed was comfortable, and the wet room was superb. I enjoyed the evening meal and continental breakfast was good. The meals were excellent value for money.
Overlooking Lancaster Canal, Toll House Inn is just metres from shops and restaurants. It has free Wi-Fi access, a bar and a restaurant. Toll House Inn is a historic building with bedrooms.

Windemere was great despite the rain, plenty to do and enjoy.
Local area of rolling fields is irresistible- take walking boots!
Trungs Chinese takeaway in Bolton-Le-Sands was delicious and a quick outing to collect.
Ambleside Inn on our day out at the lakes was delicious!

Fantastic place to use as a base, quiet village but on main...
Fantastic place to use as a base, quiet village but on main route link to Morcombe, Windemere, lake district and Scotland. We visited loads of places of interest as well as our main focus, Cartmel races. Over Kellet also has a pub in walking distance with a friendly landlord who serves amazing food. Definitely recommend a stay in the village. Also a mile away from Capernwray Quarry dive site so perfect for scuba divers!
