DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh - Queensferry Crossing, hotel in North Queensferry

With panoramic views across the Firth of Forth, DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh - Queensferry Crossing offers spacious rooms with free WiFi and a modern bar. There is ample free parking on-site.

The room was comfortable, very clean and quiet. There was a view of the Queensferry Crossing (very impressive) if you went to the end edge of the room especially to look out. You wouldn’t see the view from the main part of the room but I wasn’t staying there for the view. I attended an event near Edinburgh. The hotel was convenient for my travel -right off the M90 but no traffic noise that I could hear. The breakfast room though had a spectacular view of the bridge.

ibis budget Hotel Edinburgh Park, hotel in North Queensferry

An 8-minute drive from Edinburgh Airport, ibis Budget Hotel Edinburgh Park lies just off the City of Edinburgh Bypass and 30 minutes’ walk from Edinburgh Park Train Station.

The hotel was close to the airport which was why we chose to stay there after a long flight from Australia. The room was great for anyone with disabilities and it was very clean and comfortable. There is a tram stop close to the hotel so we were able to tour Edinburgh city very easily without having to drive with jet lag! The breakfast set up was convenient and had a good variety of food available plus free tea or coffee. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Corstorphine Lodge Hotel, hotel in North Queensferry

A charming stone-built Victorian villa dating back to the 1880s, Corstorphine Lodge Hotel is located on the A8, which links Edinburgh Airport to the city centre.

Convenient location on bus route 20mins into the city centre. I was able to park my motorcycle, which was great, although car parking would be more difficult. Staff were very helpful and good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Highly recommended

Coorie, hotel in North Queensferry

Set in Dunfermline, Coorie offers beachfront accommodation 8.1 km from Forth Bridge and offers various facilities, such as a terrace, a restaurant and a bar.

I was told, when we checked in, that breakfast was at eight. I didn’t realise, at that time, that this was not a relaxed instruction that breakfast could be at anytime from eight onwards, but rather that it was the exact time to be there. So it was my fault really. We got into the cafe after nine. We were told to find a table anywhere. And then left alone. No further acknowledgment. There were two or three other occupied tables. None had any food or drink. There were a couple of people behind the counter. We had no attention and no menu. After about 15 minutes, one or two of the tables were served drinks. No food yet. Then the woman from behind the counter brought over a couple of menus. We were then left unattended for several more minutes, during which time, a couple that looked like cyclists, came in, picked up menus, sat themselves down outside, then went up to the counter and ordered breakfasts. Just after that, another couple came in from outside, and, unlike us, were taken to a table by the woman from behind the counter, and given menus straight away. I now realise that it is necessary to keep the locals happy, and that, having missed the eight o’clock spot, we were left to the mercy of an ‘open season’. But, had I been informed that the way to behave was to come the counter and order, and not follow the instruction to wait, in attended to, at a table, I would have acted accordingly. In the event, we went for breakfast elsewhere (every morning).

Room very comfortable and facilities of high standard.

Room very comfortable and facilities of high standard. The staff were extremely helpful. View of bridge made our stay but traffic noise was constant and may be a problem for light sleepers. The bedroom was far too bright at night. Light under desk and also by the door(probably fire escape regulations and not hotels fault).

We liked the comfort of this hotel , we liked the breathtaking views of The iconic Forth Bridges and I would happily return and recommend to others. It was worth paying extra for a room with river view even though we did not go for the most expensive.

It's a small town with a few sights but nothing to really write home about... - with one exception. "The Wee Restaurant" is an absolute MUST to dine at: one of the best ribeye steaks I ever had in my life!

Excellent location & a perfect place as a base to venture out from & return to.. with a rather comfy bed that i had nee problem nodding off for a good nights sleep.. & the view out of the front window is fab. Located not to far from the North Queensferry rail station its easy to head into Edinburgh, head north further into Scotland & even just hop a train across the iconic Forth rail bridge to Dalmeny where you find some tremendous places for food & even a boat trip.
