Newry is my home town with only 3 hotels in the vicinity and a handful of apartments. I stayed at The Beeches, a superb addition to the apartments on here. Newry is a compact city with a good range of restaurants and shopping centres. It is an excellent base to explore Carlingford Lough (both shores), the Mournes and Slieve Gullion Country Park.

The people were really friendly, right from the moment we arrived at the train station, everyone was very helpful. There is a free shuttle bus from the train station to the centre of Newry. Ideal for shopping with 2 shopping centres and loads of lovely places to eat. Lovely pubs with live music for a night out. Also easy to get to Belfast for a visit. We had dinner in Bellini’s and drinks and great band in The Bridge Pub. When In a hurry one evening and looking for something to eat quickly, we went to Friar Tucks. Food was delicious in both places.

If you're looking for a taste of small village life in Ireland, this is a great place to stay. It's fairly well situated about halfway between Dublin and Belfast (an hour + drive in either direction). People are friendly and very helpful. Slieve Gullion is a mountain nearby with ancient significance and great hiking.

We stayed in the townlabd of Ballymartin, a rural retreat with excellent views of the Mourne mountains with easy access to local towns, Annalong, Newcastle, Kilkeel, Rostrevor, and Warrenpoint. Also easy access to local beauty spots, such as Tullymore Forest Park, and direct access to the Mournes e.g. Slieve Donard.
The location was absolutely wonderful. We had a beautiful view of the sun rise and set over the ocean and the mountians right behind us. Sitting in the hot tub at night was amazing with all the stars and practically no light around us.
The house is located right near a bunch of hiking trails and a dinner, so we were able to grab some delicious breakfast and spend the day hiking.
This place was worth the stay simply for its location and fair price compared to everything else in the area, especially traveling with a larger family.
Willow Tree Farm house was the perfect home away from home for our family get together! The house is decorated beautifully and has everything you could need for a few nights away. The owners were so helpful with any questions we had. The house is clean and comfortable with plenty of space for our group of 7 adults. As it is only 1 hour from Dublin and 40 minutes from Belfast it is a great location, and Newry town center is just minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We will be back!
Very nice area near Mourne Mountains, less than 1 hour drive Belfast City centre. The pub and hotel in the village serve delicious food at affordable prices.
The house is big, clean and good Internet, tv and wii console. Seán was great to deal with. The key collection was easily arranged, and we weren't rushed when leaving
The location was fantastic. It was so easy to access. It was exactly like the pictures on booking.com . I was very impressed. We go to Newry a few times a year and we always stay in a hotel. I now have a new place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to return
The property is beautiful! Well-kept and beautifully designed. They were very responsive, especially Grace who attended to all our queries with urgency. Located in central part of Newry with lots near restaurants and supermarkets. It was also near the bus stop.
Everything was great, from finding the place to the check in. The room was wonderful for a family - 3 beds, big room, large clean bathroom. The restaurant a the hotel was also wonderful, we had a great and tasty dinner there.
Everything about this hotel was perfect- the rooms very comfortable excellent bathroom, bar and restaurant excellent & the staff went over and above to ensure I had a good stay
Best cabin experience in Ireland, could not recommend it enough!
Private and cozy area, near beautiful countryside and with gorgeous views. Hosts are just amazing too!
Location, big rooms, comfy beds. Outstanding amenities and extra touches, staff were 1st class and beautiful hotel, Bfast was really food and freshly cooked to order
Fabulous casual sitting areas through out the hotel. Very warm and inviting. The staff where very attentive without being over the top nothing was too much trouble.
Nice big spacious room. Hotel bar was lovely and good atmosphere, music from 8-10pm which was nice. Best part for us was the outdoor roof top hot tub, was fab.
