THE EARN HOTEL, hotel in Newburgh

Featuring a bar, THE EARN HOTEL is located in Bridge of Earn in the Perthshire region, 10 km from Scone Palace and 39 km from Discovery Point. The hotel features family rooms.

The Hotel does not serve food, but had a bar. The bar was very busy, but there was little noise in the corner room where I stayed. The hostess was welcoming and helped me to my room. She explained that they could not compete with a local Farm Food Bar in terms of catering. The room was of good size with an ensuite shower room. The manager appears to have taken care in providing a clean and comfortable room that appeared to have been updated and redecorated within the lat year or two.

Excellent location and very comfortable, only down side was that everything on the hot breakfast menu was pretty cold and lukewarm warm which was a pity as it let the hotel down

It's a lovely place with access to really lovely walks.

It's a lovely place with access to really lovely walks. There's a lovely wee dog friendly cafe that seems to have opened recently, the food was lovely & fresh, I just hope it can stay open. Sadly like many of our towns, it looks like quite a few places have shut down. There is a pub on the high street but we didn't go in.

Newburgh is an interesting small town. It has a distillery and lovely river walk. 2 pubs and one good co op shop. It hasn't got a rail station but does have regular buses. It is well sited to visit Fife and Dundee.

Lovely walks along the Banks of the River Tay.

Lovely walks along the Banks of the River Tay. Quiet little place but nice bakery and co-op foe essentials. Lovely gallery but Do not miss the wonderful distillery tour at Lindores Abbey which gives you a brilliant history of the Abbey, the monks and the area. Well worth a visit!
