Achray House Restaurant with Rooms, hotel in Morenish

With picturesque views over Loch Earn to the hills beyond, Achray House is set in the peaceful village of St Fillans and within the boundaries of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.

Stunning location overlooking Loch Earn. We had been for dinner a couple of years ago as we rented a holiday cottage in St Fillans - the food was so good we ended up going back the next 2 nights. Decided to stay for a night at the hotel this time and again weren’t disappointed - food was excellent. Staff friendly and knowledgeable about food and wine and nice cozy bar area for a drink before and/or after dinner.

Innishewan Farmhouse, hotel in Morenish

Situated 10 km from Crianlarich, Innishewan Farmhouse features accommodation with free WiFi and a garden. If you would like to discover the area, hiking is possible in the surroundings.

The room we had was lovely, great bath. The teas, coffee choices were basic, but sufficient. I found the reception frankly awkward. We asked for some crockery to eat for dinner, the area isn’t easy to get that and we brought food from a local supermarket. It seemed chastising to say it wasn’t a self catering location then give plates etc. Going for breakfast 10 minutes early the next day-am not generally a fan of being asked what I want for breakfast and when when I check in somewhere. Again, to be chastised about arriving early? We arrived after a very tiring week. It felt like an inconvenience to ask for some things. The room we had was really nice. So this is worth a stay.

The cabin is situated on the North-West bank of Loch Tay and has a free view down to the lake, over the backs of a flock of sheep with (in early July) cute little lambs frolicking about. The morning sun can be enjoyed either from inside (table right at the window) or from the porch (table and chairs). We were especially happy to find a bird feeder placed right in front of the cabin and a poster and book that provided the necessary information for all the different native birds! Another excellent feature is the cabin's kitchen: we did not miss a single item and all the crockery, cutlery, and pans were of high quality. Equipped like this, cooking was a pleasure! We also appreciated the numerous heaters throughout the cabin, as although July, the days and nights were rather fresh. In wintertime, this will certainly be a snug and cosy accomodation.

Fantastic break if looking for a quiet holiday, our standard pod had bench seats and table, firepit/barbecue, as pod was in trees didn't get the best of views but stunning down at the loch, pod was roomy for 2 adults and would accommodate 2 kids also, kitchen and lounge area was nice to sit in when weather was bad,and very clean as were the toilet and shower block, staff were very helpful and would return but in upgraded pod to enjoy the views.

Loch side location with river, Loch, forest and hill walks close by. Did not need to use the car once in my w nights there. Toilet and shower facilities close to the pod, and very clean. We brought our own food so did not try the bistro or the bar.

Excellent place for relaxing stay with also ability to do plenty of sports and activities. Billy is the perfect host (very responsive helpful etc). The lodge actually is even better than in the pictures with an awesome view of Loch Tay and the surrounding mountains. Highly recommend for families, couples or group of friends who want to relax and enjoy the wonderful Scottish scenery.

Honestly love it here, soo peaceful and there’s a fab Ben Lawers Dam just up the hill. A good few Munro’s you could easily do if you enjoy doing a few mountains. Lovely nearby villages to visit. Local shop in Killin if your needing anything. Highland safari park to feed the deers and even pan for Gold. Never managed to eat in the new restaurant as online says it was fully booked.
