We have stayed here before and find the hotel in a convenient location with comfortable accommodation and good parking, the hotel is in a lovely rural location
The location was good and convenient for our weekend plans.
The location was good and convenient for our weekend plans. We booked and paid for breakfast on the first day but we couldn't book for the following day as we were told there would not be a chef on-site. With that in mind we made other arrangements to take care of that issue. There were also, not dinner facilities as again, no chef! We went out for dinner in a nearby village.
On the following day, after breakfast, we went out for the day, and on the way back we stopped for dinner prior to getting back to the hotel and decided just to have some evening drinks in the bar. We arrived back around 7:00pm, and on finding the carpark completely deserted, walked over to the main building but everything was locked up! We went to our rooms and discovered that housekeeping had not cleaned our rooms or replenished the towels or tea & coffee facilities. I walked back to the main building and found a contact phone number. The call was answered by "Kiko" who, to be fair, helped out as best he could, but confirmed that the hotel was closed and that the four of us were the only guests at the hotel. He got us some new towels and tea & coffee and left us stranded in our rooms.
We complained to him, but all he could say was that Middle Aston was not a hotel, and that the opening times were listed on their own website. We checked this and found the opening times were 07:00 till 23:00.
We also discovered that some of the room appliances were beyond their safety electrical test date and our kettle lead was torn where it enters the plug, which is a serious safety issue. The place is very dated and in need of some serious investment to tidy it up.
If you are looking for a room for the night and don't want any facilities other than your room, then this could be the place for you. We would advise people to avoid this place at all cost.

Great location but very rural, nowhere to eat/drink unless you want to drive. I was working at Silverstone for the week and had to survive on service station food for evening meal etc. Breakfast is available. Really comfortable room, slept better here than any hotel I can remember. Room cleaned superbly throughout entire stay. Staff lovely and friendly and helpful

The photos were really good, genuinely reflecting the room and the facilities on offer. We didn't eat or ask about options as we were heading out to eat but the breakfast was really good. Selection of cereals and cooked English breakfast.

Beautiful location.
Breakfast was good.
Beautiful location.
Breakfast was good. No dinners provided.
The staff were polite.
Room was very simple with a small double bed which it was a bit uncomfortable.
Radiator in the room didn't work.
The cleaners should check better as we found a cotton bud located between the desk and wardrobe on the arrival date and it was there the day we left..

Beautiful setting of main accommodation.
Beautiful setting of main accommodation. We were in a double ground floor unit a short distance away from the main premises. Parking was nearby.
The staff were very pleasant. Unfortunately as it was Sunday evening the restaurant was not open and there were no places in the nearby villages to dine either as they did not serve meals on a Sunday evening. We eventually found a place to eat in Bicester about 6 miles away.
The house has has extensive grounds, situated in an attractive village. Their website indicates it is primarily a conference/training venue (and not a boutique or ‘country house’ hotel). They provide adequate B&B hotel accommodation at a very competitive price for a location in rural Oxfordshire. Staff were pleasant and very helpful.

One person maned the whole experience - was great and gave us an apple as this property is very remote and no access to any food.
