Garry and Joyce demonstrated that they really cared about our happiness and comfort by being excellent, on-hand hosts the entire time. Having tea and cake on arrival was a lovely way to welcome us. We were offered fresh milk for the tea and coffee facilities in our room, and they booked us dinner at a local restaurant, the Boat Inn, which was also excellent. The home is surrounded by beautiful woodland walks and has fab views. The room was great, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast the next morning was wonderful, with freshly made bread and incredible homemade jams and marmalades, as well as a fantastic cooked breakfast. Even when we checked out, Joyce was there to say goodbye and warmly wish us back again in the future. I wanted to stay longer!

The hotel was beautiful! It looked like something out of an Agatha Christie novel which me and my partner enjoyed very much. The interior of the hotel was decorated in a similar fashion and was very warm and inviting. The staff who were on duty were attentive, although they appeared to be busy, and polite. We ate in the evening and were delighted by the different courses offered - I would recommend eating here!
