Comfortable, clean, quiet location but close to major roads. Breakfast was lovely, they ran out of vegetarian sausages but I actually preferred the alternative offered. Staff were very cheerful and friendly. We will definitely return

A nice apartment and satisfied what we were looking for. Easy comms and entry and next door to a spar and just down the road (3 miles or so) is a Tesco Express and a Co op.
We did not roam the area, so cannot offer any insight for anyone reading this with a view to booking. My son was playing in a National Golf Tournament.
Nice welcome basket on arrival :-) I think we drank and ate it all.
You will hand over £184 to the hotel.
Make sure you ask for towels &robes to use the spa.
Also a locker key.
When you get in the spa,the jacuzzi you have looked forward to getting into, during your hard week at work.
Will be Luke warm.
A member of staff will then tell you its closed.
For no apparent reason ....
You will then get out&use the changing room shower for some warmth ,instead.
Many times the steam room or sauna will also be closed, or not working.
Breakfast time:- The staff will not speak &its difficult to get them to realise you want serving &want your order taking .
Be sure to ask for coffee ,because they won't offer&barely speak a word.
They will not offer to help ,or ask how you would like your eggs. They struggle to want to bother to fill the fresh orange.
Then, when the breakfast arrives-it won't look like you expected-think sausages uncooked etc..
You will be happy to leave the room key at reception.
Having decided to spend £184, somewhere you are acknowledged accordingly&treated as a guest .

I posted a bad review of this hotel because it was shut because of Storm Gerrit and they did not let me know.
I realise now that I was harsh and the owner has since telephoned and explained that they were short-staffed and because of the extreme weather conditions there was a failing in communication.
I shall certainly book again as it sounds lovely and I apologise for my bad review since we did not stay there

Easy town to travel to and from on Anglesey.
Easy town to travel to and from on Anglesey. Very good range of shops everything you need for an enjoyable stay. We have visited many times before as we have friends who have enjoyed living in Llangefni for nearly 30 years.

Llangefni is within easy reach of the rest of the island. A good location.
My husband broke his glasses and the 2 opticians were outstanding in their efforts to get a replacement - my thanks to them

We stayed 2 nights just outside of Llangefni and only visited the town briefly. The reason for the visit was to go to Nant Y Pandy - the Dingle - to see red squirrels. Parking in the town centre right by the entrance to the park for a small parking charge, The boardwalk trail was very accessible although a little rickety in places. And boy did we see red squirrels! Up close to the boardwalk, total joy. The site has a volunteer squirrel whisper - William Roberts - who walks in the park twice a day now he's retired. He really made our visit with his friendly chat about the red squirrel population in Nant Y Pandy and Anglesey as a whole, we came away better informed and with smiles on our faces! William feeds the squirrels everyday at 3pm, unfortunately we were unable to stay for that. Well worth a visit particularly as we didn't spot any reds at Newborough forest and only 2 at Plas Newydd. Also walked out to the reservoir and watched the birds there. Well worth a visit.

Did not spend much time in Llangefni.
Did not spend much time in Llangefni. Out and about in Anglesey most of the time, but Llangefni is a good place to stay for exploring Anglesey.
There are 4 or 5 supermarkets for stocking up (Asda, Lidl, Aldi etc).
Thomas the Butcher for fresh meat and the Avondale Café does a mega breakfast.
We were warmly greeted by our host, Catherine, upon arrival and immediately felt ‘at home’. The entire experience which sadly only comprised a one-night stopover far exceeded our expectations, hence the title of our review. Whilst we are experienced travellers we rarely, if ever, book private homes, I’m happy to say that Dafarn Newydd has challenged that habit. We will be returning and have already made strong recommendations to our Irish friends who travel through Anglesey regularly. Thank you.
The staff were friendly and helpful. We were in room 7, which had an en-suite - both were very clean and the bed was really comfortable.
The meat-free breakfast was actually the best I've ever had!
The meals in the pub are good pub grub, with huge portions!
Overall a great base for a few days in Anglesey and we would stay again.
A beautiful contemporary lodge extremely comfortable full of mod cons, spotlessly clean with friendly host. In an ideal location to explore Anglesey or you can just relax in the lovely private garden area complete with patio furniture, heating and bbq. Would not hesitate to return there.
We enjoyed having breakfast every morning. The portions were huge and balanced. I had salmon with scrambled eggs. My husband had full English breakfast.
The wildlife around the hotel is fantastic. Early in the morning we spotted a hare, a red squirrel and a buzzard.
Evening pub stay before Anglesey Track track day - lovely bartender, very friendly to talk to. I had a lovely time. She then kindly reminded me that I traveled to Wales in order to drive on a circuit the very next day, so I promptly settled my bill and went to bed.
We liked the whole experience because of what Tre-Ysgawen offered and the excellent staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Excellent location for exploring Anglesey and great to get back to the hotel for the pool, the gym, the spa and our room.
The location is what we loved the most! It was so easy to get anywhere on Anglesey! I don't think we had to drive much more than thirty to forty minutes in any direction to get to any of the sights or beaches on the island!
nice location. Easy parking. Pleasant staff. Tasty food, breakfast very good albeit slightly small portion size. For once a remote hotel with decent wifi. Huge window that opens wide. Generally a good looking hotel.
We visited with our two children. The house is an ideal size for 4 -5 people., and most importantly has two toilets and showers. Warm, comfortable and ideally positioned to see the best of North Wales and Anglesey
The hotel and staff were excellent and the food in the restaurant was first class. The only downside was there was no shower and the water pressure was very low. The staff were lovely - friendly and very helpful.
It's very good breakfast and the location is good which is close to the ferry. The hotel guys were waiting for us to early morning to check-in and gave us very clear direction......etc
Lovely hotel, but was under the impression when checking in that breakfast was included - it was not. Would definitely avoid the breakfast as they charged an extra £30 for it.
