The most Scottish place on the Great Glen Way
A lovely house, with an amazing couple, everything is so homely and hospitable
Just like staying with a Scottish family in their home.
Great breakfast, excellent shower, everything is aesthetic and pleasant
The location is fantastic, truly one of the best places we have stayed on the Great Glen Way

Our room was clean and comfortable, though quite basic, with a nice comfortable bed and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom was also pretty basic but spotlessly clean and serviceable.
Breakfast was excellent. We also had a very nice evening meal in the restaurant but it was very expensive.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay and the gift shop and local art studio in the foyer were nice diversions.
The bar has a nice terrace area where we sat looking out over the northern end of the loch and watching Swallows performing fabulous aerobatics.
Of course, the jewel-in-the-crown was Loch Ness, which is just across the road from the hotel, and there is a safe clean underpass from the hotel car park to the Loch side where you can get a relaxing boat ride to the ruins of Urquhart Castle a few miles up the loch.
As an added bonus on the night we stayed, which was my wife's birthday, the Northern Lights were forecast to be visible. We went over to the loch side at 2:00am and were treated to an hour or so of spectacular colours in the sky that were also often visible reflected on the surface of the water! That was definitely one ticked off our bucket list!
High above the world famous Loch Ness, home to the elusive Loch Ness Monster, Foyers Roost offers views across the loch and beautiful mountains surrounding it. There is free parking and free WiFi.

Lovely owners, great room with very good quality furnishings, sadly no loo or shower en-suite, but I know this before hand. Good food and breakfast was lovely. Great stay, thank you.
Foyers House is a small family run adult only guest house on the South side of Loch Ness. Foyers House has an enviable location having one of the highest view points above Loch Ness.

The rooms were a decent size, clean & neat with new furnishings. The shower was a good size too with a static pressure system, meaning you don't get any more or less than what it's been set at, but you also don't get variations in the temperature of the water as other guests are using their showers.
Our room had a view of the loch which we appreciated.
The breakfast was good, with an ample selection & sized serving for a small but well run establishment.
All-in-all, you aren't likely to be disappointed. It's decent value for money, the staff are friendly & it has everything you need for a short stay.
