I wasn’t disappointed as the community have made sure they are all remembered, with a couple of memorials.
It is a beautiful part of the country, with stunning scenery abound, walking ,touring, boat trips, coffee haunts..history..or just watching boats ply the water.
A train trip would be an absolute highlight on the Kyle line, your nose would be pressed against the window the whole way.
If you like driving or motorcycles…..your in for a treat…..

Easy access to bridge over to the Isle of Skye.
Easy access to bridge over to the Isle of Skye. Very friendly townsfolk. Can recommend The Kyle Hotel for staying in when visiting. Room and ensuite were immaculately clean. It is also very good value for money food wise and staff very pleasant.

I absolutely loved the location.
I absolutely loved the location. If you enjoy spectacular scenery and like the outdoors then this is a great place to be in. The morning breakfast was included and was wonderful.
We relied on public transportation, that was a bad idea. Having your own car is absolutely essential.

We stayed one night in Kyle of Lochalsh, really just so we could get a quick look at the Isle of Skye before continuing on our travels. Lovely place to stay. We did have a quick drive into Skye, which maybe wasn't really worth it. We have enjoyed our driving around mainland Scotland more...

There are so many different things to access from Kyle of Lochalsh. As well as Skye, there are many tourist attractions and beauty spots on the mainland too. We could have done more on Skye, as well as more things close by.

The hotel itself is well over priced, and the rooms we had had a lovely view bushes and gas storage tank. I have stayed in better hotels for up to a third of the price. Talking to other guests they were as dissatisfied as we were but like us had no other options.

A really beautiful place to stay with lovely views looking out to Skye. The accommodation is superb, it’s more like a little holiday cottage than a B&B. It’s very modern, clean and comfy, and the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. The continental style breakfast which was left in the room was really lovely. Would definitely stay here again when returning to this part of Scotland.
Highly recommended.
I arrived after the hotel's kitchen had closed - good instructions as to where the Indian across the Skye bridge where I had a lovely meal - Hotel's in this part of Scotland eat very early. Even the village chippy was shut by 8.30pm.
The Bar stayed open to 11pm when I called it a day.
Everything you might ask of a three star hotel. Clean and well maintained with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The food in the restaurant was really good and reasonably priced.
