Manage to order an early breakfast which was great as had to leave for work early. Food was delivered on time and good value for money.

I have stayed in the Mash Tun on numerous occasions and always have enjoyed my stay, due to the friendliness of staff etc. and the excellent food and room comfort.
However on this recent visit, the only positive was the room comfort.

The location is fantastic, beautiful countryside views in every direction and as peaceful as you could wish.
Lovely accommodation, less than five minutes drive from Aberlour for all the shops and foods you want. Wi-Fi worked, not great speed but stable connection for those interested around 7 Mbps for me.

We stayed here as our base in Speyside during our distillery tour in Scotland. Located in the center of Rothes, we could walk to the Glen Grant and Speyburn distilleries (we enjoy walking). The room was spacious and comfortable. On the ground floor, there is a public bar with a wide selection of whiskies, where we enjoyed tasting multiple kinds. We highly recommend this place as an affordable and comfortable base for visiting Speyside.
Beautiful cottage and scenery was stunning. The cottage is perfectly situated for sightseeing and all the amazing distillery tours available in the area. Along the road is a 24hr farm shop which came in extremely helpful when we ran out of milk..such a clever idea.
Definitely recommend visiting the area

Knockando is a small village surrounded by fields of crops and livestock. Views all around of rolling hills and woodland areas.
The road through the village is fairly quiet with some tractors passing through.
You’ll need a car to get around unless you are there for the walks!
We will certainly return.
