The continental breakfast was all freshly home made and well above most hotel standards. The location in proximity to the hospital where my husband was an in-patient was only a short walk away.

Food in the restaurant was great. Breakfast was OK but served in a very large function room with very few people in it which felt odd, but staff were very friendly.

Everything about it was amazing from our host to the location, possibly the most comfortable bed ever! All the little extras that just made it great. Highly recommend.
Will definitely be staying again.

With the canal running straight through the town there was ample opportunity to have a stroll & many cafes, bars etc for the weary traveller. The Park at the bottom end of town was lovely & the war memorials & historic connections Appenine Wall, Romans etc was interesting. The large children's play area was busy & the children seemed to enjoy the facilities. The main street is quite long & the variety of shops was very pleasing with virtually now boarded up premises.
Beautifully renovated hotel, the food was a highlight!
The hotel is recently renovated but keeps snippets of its history.
We had booked 3 bedrooms, as we have a big family. Unfortunately the beds weren't suitable for two members of our group - both over 6ft. In general the rooms were a little snug, as we didn't spend too much time in the room it was manageable.
I would stay at this hotel again, if I was visiting Glasgow again.
It was like a home from home, we had everything we needed for a relaxing, comfortable stay. Loved the electric blankets on the beds, en suite bathroom made a big difference. The walk to Kirkintilloch by the water was lovely, recommend it.
Lovely hotel, although it is in need of a bit of TLC. Great bathrooms and bedroom. Lots of parking available on site.
Staff at check in and in the dining room were great - very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful hotel and beautiful garden, our room was very clean with a big cosy comfy bed, staff were nice and friendly. We had a lovely cooked breakfast before we went home. Would recommend it to anyone.
Lovely little hotel, it was so cute, great vibes, nice man in reception :)
Free parking on site, it is first come first serve but we were lucky and got a spot, even though we arrived late at night
grand country house hotel with lots of period aspects retained. rooms though were very comfy, well decorated and with a modern shower and bathroom. food in the bar had huge portions
