Our room was very clean, fresh and warm. Both bedroom and bathroom looked as if they had recently been refurbished. The shower was fantastic. There was traditional Scottish fiddlers in the ballroom at night which was an unexpected bonus.

The location was perfect, even though it's located next to the station it's not that loud that it bothers you, plus the trains are very infrequent. The room.we has was likely the smaller, lower price room but was still great size. Comfy, individual style decor and good size bathroom. Great cookies on arrival and amazing breakfast options, especially vegetarian.

Absolutely stunning, better than we could have asked for! Lodge was gorgeous and location was spectacular (makes coming home very sad). All the staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed archery 🏹 a day of watersports too which was also very reasonably priced. Coffee from the Boathouse was spot on and the meals were yummy! Really really impressed and will definitely be back! 🏄‍♀️🚣🏊‍♀️

The location is lovely by the lochside, but that is to be expected for a water sports facility offering what it does. The rooms were clean and adequate though maybe small for a long stay. The bar and dinding area was large and airy and had lovely sunny outlook over the loch with open terrace and tables.

The price were really low don't expect miracle you get what you pay for but other hand we could manage our first family trip with 2 little kids without booking an apartment for 5 times more. Staff were really friendly they trying to do their best with this covid situation in overall we enjoyed our stay and could recommend the accommodation for this price at this location can't get any better and we really appreciate that we had our first family trip as success and everyone were happy during this couple of days

The idea of getting people together is brilliant. We admired Tony's enthusiasm and tenacity. Transforming this place to a hotel has been his long term dream and passion which we really admired. It was great to read his story in the booklet in the room, so that we knew how this place has come about. We wish him all the best for the future. It was a shame we didn't have time to have more chat with him. All in all, this place can be an inspiration for many people...

A fantastic opportunity to stay in this amazing hotel which is owned by ex forces Tony who is still working on it. Great location for Highland Wildlife Park which we were visiting. Kitchen has microwave and tea, coffee etc to make your own breakfast or bring in food to eat in dining room. There is a pub nearby which will order in a takeaway for you. Love the paintings and military insignia.

What's not to like about Shetland cottages. Great accommodation, fantastic location and scenery. Lots of things to do within the area or a short drive away. We stayed with our toddler and all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend it to everyone.

It was a beautiful property with self catering cabins and hotel rooms attached to a watersports resort with facilities directly on loch Insh. The rooms are basic and well maintained. The staff are helpful and kind.

The Forces Manor is an extraordinary place, with any extraordinary owner. It is basic accommodation but a kitchen, and ensuite in most rooms. It was fine for us for one night with a dog.
