Very clean room, bedding. Very friendly receptionists.
Friendly restaurant staff (breakfast).
The breakfast quality was reasonable - not great but not poor.
Really easy place for a travel stopover that I needed - easy access to M80, good parking, and comfortable and quiet room.

Food in the restaurant was great. Breakfast was OK but served in a very large function room with very few people in it which felt odd, but staff were very friendly.

Kilsyth is a town full of history from the mines to the weaving. It should really have a museum in the main street. Colzium is a beautiful park with flowers and walks. The main street is a sad shadow of its former self but still worth a walk and a pie from Rennies the bakers.

The location was spot on to visit the attractions and to explore the region .The town itself was typical of many towns across the UK ,run down and in need of some TLC but on a plus point the people were very friendly
Location perfect . Made to feel welcome by staff in hotel. In restaurant spacious surroundings delicious extensive menu. Range of alcoholic non alcoholic drinks, enjoyed special prosecco Cocktail!! . Breakfast had number if choices to suit different appetites. Good family establishment who cater for children and wel behaved dogs.
Comfortable surroundings in room quite stylish. Fine aromatic therapy products in made in Scotland of course. Views out onto water, boats and hillside scenery.
The reception and departure were simple. The receptionist went out of her way to explain all aspects of my stay and also showed me to my room. The room was exactly as described with a lovely view of the canal outside. It was a busy hotel but really quiet, which made for a perfect night's sleep. I ate in the restaurant twice and the food was top quality. The highlight of my time there was the absolute courtesy and politeness of every member of staff. They should be commended just for this.
Kilsyth probably isn't a top tourist destination. We stayed here as part of our journey cycling the John Muir Way. We found the hotel to be really nice, the staff were very friendly and helpful but the restaurant was a complete surprise. There was a huge choice of food on offer and the meals were excellent and generous. Breakfast was equally as good. They even stored our cycles overnight for us so if you're doing the John Muir Way, consider this as a good stopping point.
spotlessly clean, modern well run hotel and restaurant with great food and friendly staff. Had a great nights sleep in a large very comfortable bed with crisp fresh clean linen. very scenic looking out in to the water and seeing the barges parked up and people canoeing. The hotel is dog friendly which is great as there is many walking routes around as well as a really well thought out sensory garden across the road. plenty of parking. I will most definitely return.
Great location with interesting views and fantastic access to walking trails. The rooms are nice and provide everything needed. The restaurant and bar are well stocked and comfortable. I will recommend to both my friends and family in the USA as well as my local family in Scotland.
Newly refurbished hotel and restaurant. Extremely welcoming staff. Very clean rooms, new bathrooms, showers. Comfortable beds.
Food in the restaurant is extremely good and good price. Good choice of beers.
Great breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended.
the food was superb, the staff were very helpful, the stay wasn’t bad, but we had no hot water the whole night, we missed the entertainment because we couldn’t get washed ect, the hotel staff tried there best to sort it.
The hotel and setting was better than expected. Staff were incredibly friendly. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Would 100% visit again and have already recommended it to friends and family!
The hotel was very nice. The restaurant prices were reasonable, as were the bar prices. The bar staff and waitresses were also friendly. The breakfast the next morning was also very good.
All staff knew what to do to make us comfortable. Manager was attentive and obliging to our changes of mind. Hotel is well situated for access to Campsie Hills. Room was comfortable.
Brilliant Polish lady working at the bar/restsurant that guided us to some interesting places. Very friendly and made us a day! Never met someone that positive. Good hotel.
