The location worked perfectly for us, just off our main commute. The room was spacious and very clean. Big bed and a seating area was appreciated. Facilities to make basic tea and coffee. Although dated in terms of decor, we would definitely stay again as clean, tidy and comfortable. Staff were all amazing - very friendly and helpful

Broadsea, hotel in Inverurie

Set in Inverurie and only 38 km from Beach Ballroom, Broadsea offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

The hosts live on-site at the farmhouse and are friendly and hospitable. The cottage is very clean, warm and comfortable. We loved that the cows came to say hello at the kitchen window! There are good woodland walks close by, and it's an easy drive to Inverurie for supermarkets etc. Recommend arriving in daylight if possible as easier to find.

We stayed in Inverurie as we were attending a wedding close by in Old Meldrum. Inverurie is a small place with one main road which pretty much has everything you need on it. The Market Square was busy on the Saturday with various stalls selling various items. We just ate in Hotel where we were staying.

It is a very pretty town.

It is a very pretty town. They have a market once a fortnight, which sadly I missed. There are many beautiful walks around the town and along the river, with lots of birds, wild flowers and trees to see. It has a good array of shops, and a fantastic deli- the Kilted Frog.

    A beautiful wee town.

A beautiful wee town. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and pleasant. We unfortunately went to Brewdog for a meal which was really really bad, bad food, shoddy service, overpriced, place has delusions of competence.

Inverurie high street is a traditional high street, lots of independent shops, lots of variety, big enough to spend an afternoon walking round all the shops. Browsed in sinclairs jewellery shop, bought from craigdon mountain sports- very friendly informative and nothing too much trouble for these folk ! Recommended for hiking gear and hubby presents ! We also walked up a splendid wee hill with amazing views called tap o north, a jaunt of about half and hour away by car, well worth the effort. For eats, we chose the ashvale, and the food didn’t disappoint.

My sister lives nearby and I have been coming here for over 30 years. Its a lovely place and inb recent time it has expanded a lot. It not the place to come for fancy night life. You would come here for great scenery and a base to travel to local places of interest. It has a Morrisons and a few other big ticket stores as well.

Good centre for visiting that area - stately homes, castles, scenery, coast, archaeology, history, cycling, walking, golf etc. Reasonable restaurants, and pubs but poorly served by accommodation which is limited. Not much to see in the town itself.

Staff were helpful and friendly. The resturant was exceptional with great food and a good choice of food on the menu. Breakfast was either self service or cooked breakfast both had a good choice of tasty food and well worth adding to your stay. Rooms were spacious, clean and well furnished Our bathroom was large and well fitted. There was a large TV and heating to your requirements all added to the great experience, definately my hotel of choice in this area.

First point - the dates of this review (above) are incorrect. The stay booked was one night - SATURDAY 9 DECEMBER, check out SUNDAY 10 DECEMBER. Nothing, the property was closed! No communication at all from Booking.com or the hotel! Hotel completely uncontactable on date of arrival and still is!
