Reception and checking-in were fine. We booked a cottage which was just a 1 min drive away. First impressions were good as it's clean and quiet as it's separate from the main hotel. The only gripe was that we asked for a walk-in shower as one of my party had mobility issues. That was sorted but I didn't realise that the main bedroom was upstairs and the bathroom was downstairs which defeated the point of having a walk-in shower. The stairs were carpeted etc but a tad on the steep side. It caused us an issue but as it was only 1 night, it wasn't a disaster just a pain.
On the positive side, it's a gorgeous cottage.
We had dinner the hotel which was very nice albeit expensive for Inverness (roughly 100 a head)
Would I stay again? yes but maybe the cottage next door if it has no stairs.

I sent you a review on the 3rd June.
I sent you a review on the 3rd June. This so an accommodation must be the worst run establishment I have stayed in. I spoke to the manager of the hotel and he said I needed to contact yourselves for a refund. I have not heard from you. You can verify this with the manager of the hotel. He was never there but I happened to catch him as I was sitting in the reception area as the entire hotel does NOT have Wi-Fi as stated on your site. ALL guests have to sit in reception to enable to get any kind of signal. Most of the guests are overseas and are only there for a couple of nights and probably do not know how to complain.

Inverness is lovely but Loch Ness is totally not worth the effort. Every other lich we visited in the highlands was lovelier than Loch Ness.
The hop on hop off bus of Inverness was a huge disappointment as it did not go to the castle or Loch Ness visitor center.

Dunrobin Castle was a Highlight well worth a visit est the Falconry display
It was my 3rd stay in waverley. The hotel is very well localised. From there is close to interesting points like a castle or tasty restaurants or finally beautiful path along river. Quality of rooms is adequate to prices. If you book the cheapest hotel in Inverness don't expect high standards. bathroom and my room were clean what is important for me. TV in the room.Always fresh
towels and bin bags on request. Staff nice and chatty. I recommend for people which want to travel, see beautiful Higlands and want to reduce costs of journey
- I booked very last minute - and I am so glad that I did, this was the perfect finish to my Scotland trip
- Firstly, the flat is very spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated with thoughtful small touches like a cup of tea to greet you on arrival
- Above all, Karen is a wonderful host - if you can, you should book one of her dinners for a truly unique Scottish culinary experience!
- Recommend 10/10 - look no further if you are planning to stay in Inverness :)
On our amazing trip around Scotland for two and a half weeks, we had an overnight stay at Carisbrooke Guest House in Inverness on our trip from Shetland to the Isle of Skye. Nice place and centrally located close to the city center. Good facilities. Our room was in the building at the back. Calm and quiet. The hosts were helpful and very attentive to our well-being. Delicious and varied breakfast.

The whole apartment experience was absolutely fantastic. Jo was really helpful and assisted my wife in moving apartments as we extended our stay but the first one wasn't available for the second night! Nothing was any trouble. I think that I can say that after 40 years of travel around Scotland for business and pleasure, this was the most exceptional stay. We are planning to stay again either later this month or next!
Park Guest House worked well for our family of 3 on a road trip across Scotland. It was in a good location with private parking. We walked into Inverness in 15 minutes. The room was clean and had a kettle and some tea/instant coffee. They offer breakfast for 6 which, while not a gourmet meal, was perfect for starting the day. Overall it was a good value, comfortable, and convenient. I would stay here again.
The hotel adjoins Inverness railway station and so was ideal for us as we were taking a rail tour of Scotland. The magnificent interior reflects its Victorian origins. We found the staff helpful and friendly, with a good selection of food at breakfast and an excellent dinner on the one night we ate in the hotel. Our room was exceptionally large and comfortable.
Excellent location for our trip. A short drive to Loch Ness so perfect!
Food was fantastic especially the haggis (first timer)
Our host was friendly and chatty which was very welcome. Louise and I are very pleased to see this hotel up and running again. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this beautiful area of Scotland.
This was one of the nicest and most comfortable accommodations we stayed at in our month long tour of Scotland and England. Breakfast is not provided but the host provides a welcome basket with all kinds of goodies that could be used for breakfast and the refrigerator was well stocked (smoked salmon, cheeses, etc.).
Everything...Kenny was an excellent host, and the place was fabulous. Room was very clean and tidy, and had everything you can ask for. Breakfast was the best we've had in 2 weeks of holiday in Scotland.
I would recommend this place to anyone who is interested in visiting Inverness.
It is a great starting point to travel all around Scotland and the Highlands. Inverness is just a few minutes away and the place is tidy, comfortable and you got everything you need. The hosts Ian and Oyfrid were also very lovely and kind! We had a great time there.
All of the staff were extremely welcoming and appeared genuinely concerned that guests have a good experience in Inverness and Scotland. We were even invited to a small barbecue in the back garden, with family and friends.
Clean modern hotel room with comfortable bed, nice bathroom, and plenty big enough. Walk to the airport. King size bed, which was wonderful. Scotland has a lot of wee beds!! Friendly staff who were helpful and cheerful.
Located in a quiet street with private parking in central Inverness near river walks, entertainment, cafes & restaurants. Great base for exploring the many visitor attractions in this area of Scotland.
Nice breakfast, lots of parking, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was very clean. Really nice shower and bathroom, probably the best we experienced throughout our trip to scotland.
Emma and Joesph were wonderful hosts! Gourmet breakfast was one of the best we had in Scotland.
Great location in the glen outside of Inverness with easy access to many sights.
Overpriced for what it is, I am gob smacked at the prices of hotels in Scotland! Inverness isn’t the most beautiful place and the price did not resemble the location at all
The lovely and knowledgeable host gave wonderful recommendations, and made us a delicious breakfast. Wonderful way to start our Scotland honeymoon road trip!
