Beautifully located hotel. Staff were fantastic and attentive. We had a wedding approximately 20 minutes away from the hotel however we weren't able to check in early. The front desk kindly stored our bags for us and gave us our room keys. When we returned late at night, we were able to easily access our room and our bags were waiting inside for us. The breakfast the next morning was fantastic. The hotels grounds were beautiful and well kept. The only thing we weren't able to experience was the spa - all the more reason for us to return.

Dinner was very disappointing. Mushroom en croute starter was mushrooms on a piece of cold baguette. It should be mushrooms in pastry or at the least on pastry. Waitress apologetic and mgr took off the bill. The stir fry sauce was very thin, probably thinned down and therefore tasteless. Not had such a bad meal in a hotel before.

Location was perfect for us as we was visiting East Ruston Old Vicarage. The room was a nice location with a good view from our room. It was clean spacious and comfortable for our stay. The food was good and prompt for our evening meal.

we brought mother in law for two days on our hire boat but not really enough for three to sleep so she stayed with you and she could of not been happier
Picture postcard village. Thatched cottage views and right on the water. Local cafes, snack bar, excellent value. River Cruises on the broads, leaves three times daily from village. Free parking at village hall. Waking distance to boats, pubs and local shops. Easy access by boat or car. Pictures attached from lawn of holiday property we rented, all except river cruiser.

Horning is a really nice riverside village.
Horning is a really nice riverside village. We were keen to leave because Villa Morea was very disappointing accommodation that spoiled our trip completely. The view of the river is exaggerated as it is merely a glimpse between two properties.

The staff were really good and very helpful, the rooms were clean but need some revamping, the bed was comfortable, but the food was of a lesser standard than Wetherspoons, tough steaks for dinner and burnt toast
undercooked bacon and overcooked eggs for breakfast

Favourite places included the village recreation ground for daily dog walking, the three friendly pubs where we had meals, the cottage and it's small garden which attracted heron and other birds. The river trip on the paddle steamer "Southern Comfort".
We attempted to see a great deal of Norfolk on this trip but in doing so found the driving required to be somewhat excessive. Nevertheless we managed some excellent walks using the book "Norfolk - Outstanding Circular Walks", and relevant maps, and also briefly visited Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Cromer and Wells next the Sea. We saw seals on the beach during a walk from Horsey Wind Pump, and had a challenging, interesting walk from Fellbrigg Hall.

Beautiful village on Norfolk Broads with walks, small shops, tea rooms and pubs. Great little place to unwind and relax with beautiful scenery. Trip up scenic river on paddle steamer , Southern Comfort interesting and informative , well worth money spent.
Excellent location a five minute walk to pubs and village shops. Size of garden good but be careful with younger children as leads down to a mooring. The view from property is wonderful. There is clean bedding, lovely and warm with good control of temperature . Comfortable sofas but one needs cleaning . Plenty of hot water for a bath downstairs. Lots of towels if needed.
There’s a washing machine. Kitchen equipment okay apart from dishwasher
The house was very well equipped with everything we needed. Parking was spacious. Docking at the house for the day boat was very convenient. The description was 100% accurate. The location was convenient for restaurants in Horning and the boat yards. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property.
Excellent location on the Norfolk Broads. Friendly staff and attractive bar area. Reasonable menu but the accommodation was disappointing and poor value. Room dark and dull. Only 2 chair for 2 people. Most annoying was the loo lid which couldn’t stay upright due to the overhanging shelf!!
We were made very welcome on arrival and Richard showed us around the cottage and suggested some lovely places to eat and drink whilst we were in the area. The cottage's location is perfect and it was so peaceful in Horning.
