Location was just a block and a half from the top end of The Royal Mile. It was very good. Staff were very friendly (while mostly under pressure) and I would say exceptional. Full British breakfast was good, but too much for my stomach to start the day on. Keep me away from buffets! Lifts were fast and with little holdup.

The Mercure is an excellent location for visiting Edinburgh..... within walking of all the major attractions. The room was only small but lovely and clean. Was a little noisy at night with the Marks and Spencer delivery trucks coming and going during the night....

This was a small, very well-equipped, clean, comfortable room near the airport tram's Haymarket station, with great staff, for a very reasonable price.
