Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organisations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world class. Not to be missed are the futuristic-looking Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.
Lined with Georgian buildings, George Square is the city’s focal point and the spot for Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. Fanning out from here are streets housing venues for the city’s main love: music. From classical concerts to up-and-coming bands, every taste is catered for.
As host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow is also a city of sport. Scotland’s 2 most iconic football clubs - Celtic and Rangers - are based here, as is the national football stadium Hampden Park. The Scottish Football Museum is also an excellent walk through the beautiful game.

The best thing was the Burrell Collection. great building wonderful setting we spent longer in there than any other museum ever - brilliantly presented lovely art. Kelvingrove was also good and the Mackintosh house - but equally great was walking around the streets and looking at the different neighbourhoods. Oh and student jazz in the pub

Came to see Foo fighters.
Came to see Foo fighters. Easy to get from Govan to Hampden park. 15 mins in a taxi. After the concert no chance, no one would pick up with Uber. We walked to Asda and finally at 2am we got a taxi back to Govan.

I went to Glasgow to attend a conference.
I went to Glasgow to attend a conference. So didn't have much time to see touristy areas/places. Would have love to see some museums. It is a halal-friendly city. Easy to find halal food. However we didn't venture to the other side of the main river and I would have love if I have more time in Glasgow.
Nice pizza place at West End Road.
Also Nice meal at Afrikana.

Loved the local people we met at a pub.
Loved the local people we met at a pub. They were very nice and friendly. Not as much old architecture to see as Edinburgh although, still a great city! Many site seeing locations are quite far from the city center but, the hop-on-hop-off buses were a nice opportunity.

Fantastically eclectic city - full of independent bars,...
Fantastically eclectic city - full of independent bars, cafes and restaurants with food and drink from all around the world. Super-friendly vibe generally. Lots of art and culture to explore - great museums, parks (the Botanical Gardens is a must).
The hotel was walkable distance to the city centre and a variety of restaurants. Kevingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Park and the University of Glasgow. The room was not like the pictures on the profile but it still look good and clean. The room was spacious, had sufficient storage for a short stay, clean and spacious bathroom with good hot water flow. The guest house is generally clean. The reception was in the building across and the host was really friendly. There is a lot of parking around the area and it is free between 6pm to 8am.
I love the fact it felt like being at home. The photos shown on this site, is actually what u get nothing deceiving. It's in city centre so walking to shops to buy groceries (or whatever else you wanted to buy) was a breeze and the staff is extremely friendly. Comfortable bed, complete kitchen and living area, what more could you ask for? I highly recommend this place to any traveler visiting Glasgow.
It's a pretty good, solid hotel. Breakfast is good with a choice between contintental and english breakfast items, the rooms are nicely furnished and the beds are GREAT (no skimping there), the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is fine in the sense that Glasgow isn't a particularly large city so you can pretty much get anywhere anytime (also, Charing Cross is right there).
This was by far my favorite hotel that we stayed in during our trip to Scotland. It was luxurious, modern, very clean, and overall just a wonderful stay. The room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable, after a long journey through the Scottish Highlands this felt like a wonderful respite. Staff was very helpful and friendly and our dinner at the hotel restaurant was wonderful!
The staff at this Motel One are absolutely exceptional! Some of the friendliest and most helpful staff I’ve met in a while. And the beds were fabulous too - the duvet felt like a delightful cocoon (best sleep i had in my whole Scotland trip). And for exploring Glasgow it’s in an ideal location - and the teal/aqua lighting made it such an easy beacon to walk back to!
The Hampton by Hilton Hotel Glasgow City Centre is a superb location for travellers and couples within easy walking distance of the bustling centre and the attractions it has to offer with the additional benefits of being a quite haven to return to with the helpful and friendly staff always on hand to make our stay a most enjoyable experience.
The property was clean and comfortable and in a good location for visiting various parts of Glasgow. The bus into Glasgow city Centre was close by (2 minute walk)if you turned right as you came out of the house and walked up to the dual carriage way , cross over the other side of the road to catch the 267 bus towards the city Centre.
The staff were friendly and accommodating. The property is in a great location close to UG, Kelvingrove Park and Museum, and the great shops and restaurants of the West End. it was also a 20 minute walk to City Centre.
The hotel was a little run down but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful!
Lovely clean hotel. Well situated for a city centre visit and also very accessible to the Hydro and SEC via Glasgow Central which is not far away. Check in and check out was smooth. Friendly staff, clean room and all you needed in your room for your stay. Breakfast was excellent and was topped up regular.
This was the cheapest hotel that we could find in Glasgow and for the price we paid it was grand. The location close to a couple of subway stations was great, ideal for getting into the city centre quickly. The restaurant and bar were good value, especially for the location
Hotel is extremely well located if you are visiting Glasgow and want to be in the city centre. Especially good if you are attending concerts in the city. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff very friendly. Room well appointed. Value for money.
Beautiful building in the very desirable Kelvinbridge neighbourhood. It’s not too close to city centre, but a short walk away are lovely shops, restaurants and a great hip vibe near Kelvingrove park and the university of Glasgow.
The position of the hotel on the Bath street was perfect for my purpose: close to the conference at the University of Glasgow and close to the city centre. In addition, close to the bus station.
I had a scheduling snafu and wasn't able to make an additional night. Because of the stress, the hotel gave me an upgrade. I've been staying at this hotel since 2017 whenever I'm in Glasgow
