The host (Geraldine) was very kind and helpful, the room was clean and modern with a small facility for coffee/tea.
Surroundings are beautiful (Hay-on-Wye, Brecon Beacons), nice pub (The Harp Inn) very close by with good food and drinks and a kind landlord.
By the River is situated near a very busy local road, but the traffic dies down a lot at night so we slept fine.

Lovely pub with great food. The bed was very comfortable with a nice tray of tea & coffee. I had a lovely hot bath in the evening. It was a super cosy room and we will definitely be back to stay again.
The Glasbury community welcomes visitors. If you enjoy outdoor activities in a stunning location, then you won’t be disappointed. However if you rely on public transport, this may create some issues in your travel arrangements.

I never went to Glasbury as The River Cafe no longer operates snd although my payment was taken, but my booking was.never made. Do not book this place on Booking.com as it does not exist any more. I am waiting for my refund. I am so disappointed with Booking.com as they don’t listen when I tell them that The River cafe does not operate any more. I know this because the former owner contacted me when they got my booking through Booking.com.

Cwmbach Lodge is exceptional - I stay in a lot of different hotels and b&bs for work and pleasure and this is the first time I can say a place was truly exceptional. stunning location, peaceful, tasteful decor, great breakfast, lots of attention to detail and really friendly hosts.
Hay in Wye is beautiful but definitely a different hotel . Stay somewhere else . For the first time ever I have to say was the most disappointing stay . I liked other places near and wished I booked somewhere else. Still don’t understand how this place has such good reviews .
The perfect stay in quaint Glasbury - a well appointed room that was clean and comfortable, and a short walk from the nearest pub and restaurant. The room is nicely decorated and gets lovely afternoon sunlight, we would highly recommend.
The owners, staff were very friendly and able to answer all questions. They were very helpful and the atmosphere in the hotel was very calming and peaceful . The room was clean and had everything needed
Nice place very close to lots of things to do including glasbury and hay on wye. Great breakfasts. Owner was nice. We didn't use the bar or restaurant other than for breakfast but it seemed popular.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful area. Stylish, well kept hotel with friendly staff. We stayed for one night whilst visiting family in the area and will be returning next time we visit.
