Foyers Roost, hotel in Foyers

High above the world famous Loch Ness, home to the elusive Loch Ness Monster, Foyers Roost offers views across the loch and beautiful mountains surrounding it. There is free parking and free WiFi.

Lovely owners, great room with very good quality furnishings, sadly no loo or shower en-suite, but I know this before hand. Good food and breakfast was lovely. Great stay, thank you.

Foyers House, hotel in Foyers

Foyers House is a small family run adult only guest house on the South side of Loch Ness. Foyers House has an enviable location having one of the highest view points above Loch Ness.

The rooms were a decent size, clean & neat with new furnishings. The shower was a good size too with a static pressure system, meaning you don't get any more or less than what it's been set at, but you also don't get variations in the temperature of the water as other guests are using their showers. Our room had a view of the loch which we appreciated. The breakfast was good, with an ample selection & sized serving for a small but well run establishment. All-in-all, you aren't likely to be disappointed. It's decent value for money, the staff are friendly & it has everything you need for a short stay.

Foyers Bay Country House, hotel in Foyers

Located in a small village, 20 miles from Inverness, the Foyers Bay Country House is set in private grounds and has stunning views over Loch Ness.

Fabulous place, Chris and Elly were so warm, friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our room was beautiful and the location is wonderful, set in amongst the trees , close to The falls of Foyers and Loch Ness . The unexpected bonus of the fantastic wildlife was an experience we will never forget , deer, badgers and red squirrels all visiting the garden for their supper . An amazing find that we would love to return to .

Wonderful place on the south side of Loch Ness.

Wonderful place on the south side of Loch Ness. The waterfall is spectacular and the hiking in woodland is astounding. It’s one of the few places around the lake where you can actually hike along the coast..

Foyers is in a beautiful part of the world.

Foyers is in a beautiful part of the world. It is in the country side therefore you can see a part of Scotland that the usual tourist doesn't see. I loved the garden and the rambling old house, looking over Loch Ness. The most important part was the comfortable bed and quite well appointed room. The owners were delightful and made us very comfortable. It is not far from a local pub where you can get a lovely meal. The breakfast that was included was scrumptious and substantial. I wish we had stayed a bit longer.

We received a lovely warm welcome from Chris at Foyers and loved every moment of our stay. The property and setting are beautiful with a view from the dining room of the pretty garden and it's wildlife as well as a direct view to Loch Ness. Our pretty room was great, with everything we needed including a private door to a small enclosed area and the garden - perfect for our dog. Elly whipped up delicious dinner and breakfast and our spaniel, Pringle, loved her breakfast sausage. We were grateful to Chris for his recommendation of dog walking spots which were great. Arrive as guests & leave as friends - we did! Can't wait to return for longer.

It's a stunning place, we were there 2 nights.

It's a stunning place, we were there 2 nights. We walked from our hotel down to the Loch and back up through a beautiful wood by the river. It was a strenuous walk, lots of steps up but really lovely. Foyers is a small village spread down the valley from the road. Not a lot to do at night but if come prepared to entertain yourself it's tranquil and restful. Short drive to Inverness and things to do on the Loch in the day. We really enjoyed our time there and we would go back.

A quaint quiet noise free village with local shops.

A quaint quiet noise free village with local shops. Very little traffic. Excellent scenery. Tourist attraction Falls of Foyers. Not far away from Fort Augustus where the Caledonian Canal begins where one can see the road bridge opening and the lock gates opening and various boats navigating the locks on their way up the canal. From Foyers Inverness is a short drive away with its excellent shopping, Castle, indoor market, Theatre, miniature railway, Cruises to look for Dolphins, Fort George a very old military fort constructed to protect the forts inhabitants from attack by an enemy.

Where to begin! The facilities were lovely, well-kept, and very clean. Our room was extremely comfortable! There were many animals (including roosters and cats!) around the house, which we absolutely loved. The surrounding area offers lovely nature walking routes to Foyers Fall and Loch Ness shores. Chris and Ellie were both very charming, humorous, and kind people — this elevated the stay that much more. Their breakfast, which they make right in front of you in the dining room, was one of the better breakfasts we have had in Scotland.

Everything was fantastic. Very comfortable bed in a large room. Excellent cook-to-order breakfast. View of the grounds and Loch Ness were awesome. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Great vibe throughout our stay, and would definitely recommend staying here. We stayed 3 days, but could have stayed longer. Trail to Foyers Falls starts right at their property, and just a short walk down to the loch shore. Chris and Elly really care about getting the details right, and follow COVID precautions.

Fabulous views of Loch Ness and the mountains. The owner was a wonderfully attentive host and clearly cares about his guests and their experience. Comfortably furnished, quality linens, modern bathroom and other facilities, while still retaining the character of an older property. Dinner and breakfast were also high quality, tasty and well presented. Highly recommended the Craigdarroch for a Loch Ness stay.

absolutely beautiful view but the real charm was the incredible staff. Michelle made us feel welcome and was so much fun to talk to. The food was especially good too. I’ve never seen a menu where virtually everything was gluten-free or could be made that way. Great people, great food and great accommodations make this a two, very-enthusiastic, thumbs-up!

The room we were allocated was very large and could be considered a suite in a lot of other hotels. The hotel is located nearby to a great woodland walk encompassing the Falls of Foyers. The breakfast was an exceptional surprise and I am upset that we didn't have cause to stay for lunch or dinner to experience the other offerings.

The hotel was exceptionally clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate requests. We had dinner in their restaurant which was very flavoursome. The front of the hotel and the restaurant has amazing views of the loch and it is set in a lovely environment and a very well kempt garden.
