CAMPBELL 100 DUNFERMLINE, hotel in Fife

Boasting garden views, CAMPBELL 100 DUNFERMLINE offers accommodation with a garden and a terrace, around 11 km from Forth Bridge.

The place is not far from busy Edinburgh, which is a plus during the festival. I guess it helps to have a car to go to Edinburgh and back, but the train station is not that far either. Just be mindful of the train schedule on Sundays 😬. The flat was clean and spacious, with a large bedroom and all facilities available for a self catering stay. Although we did not use it much (just for tea and coffee), the kitchen was equipped with all necessary in case you want to prepare a quick breakfast or even a meal. Flat has a back garden where the smoking partner could had his occasional fix. Overall, this flat provided everything we needed for a memorable holiday! Highly recommended!

Kirkcaldy was a good place to have as a base.

Kirkcaldy was a good place to have as a base. Visiting other fishing villages to the North and South was most enjoyable. St Andrews was extremely busy with students mainly but it was good to visit the cathedral. Anstruther had lovely fish and chips and beaches at Elie and Crail were exceptional

I am from Fife so my opinion is quite biased. It is a beautiful area with lots of interesting things to see. The East Neuk is a delight and there are many charming villages. Lovely farm shops eg. Blacketyside Farm and Loch Leven’s Larder.

We were walking the Fife Coastal Path and stayed in a variety of accommodations along the route. The best part of our walk was the route from Leven to Cellardyke - it was lovely little villages with nice pubs and good places to eat.

Fantastic area with lots to do.

Fantastic area with lots to do. It was busy with visitors, so planning ahead will help. Pre-booking for dinner is a good idea. We stayed in Anstruther which is lovely. Had dinner at The Bank, which was excellent. Queued for takeaway at the famous Anstruther chip shop - very good, but perhaps overrated in our view. Roads are quite small, but there is no need to rush anywhere.

There are so many places to go.

There are so many places to go. There are miles of unspoilt beaches. Although you have to be careful where you go as there were dead birds from Avian flu at the West Sands at St Andrews. Leven beach was clear and Tentsmuir also. There are so many things for the active. Plenty of culture to be found all round. You are so central for Dundee, Perth and Edinburgh. So much history everywhere. The East Nuek villages are so beautiful and the fresh fish on the menus to die for.
