Foisty smell on entering reception, old and dated feel.

Foisty smell on entering reception, old and dated feel. No facilities in room ie tv, coffee/ tea. Bathroom suite from the 1980s, with carpeted floor. The worst fault was no hot water for a shower in the morning and seemingly no interest from staff to resolve the problem

This 5 star property lived up to expectations! Superb modern house with latest facilities. We had a wonderful stay at the Birches Lodge. We were greeted on arrival and given some wonderful suggestions on attractions to visit. The lodge was warm, clean and cosy and we were even treated to a complimentary welcome basket. The hot tub was a real bonus!

The location, the outlook, the attention to detail by the hosts and finishing touches to make us feel special guests all added to an excellent stay. Loved the separate annexe for shower room and laundry. Don’t hesitate in booking.

The Bay Hut was beautiful and in an idyllic setting.

The Bay Hut was beautiful and in an idyllic setting. It was very well appointed and the fire pit in the evening was a great midgie repellent! It was a great base for exploring the area. The Seafood Shack in Ullapool is worth a visit as well as a visit to Inverewe Gardens.

The whole of Wester Ross is absolutely gorgeous.

The whole of Wester Ross is absolutely gorgeous. Whether you're into cycling, walking, wild life or simply sight seeing, you'll be under the spell. It's best to have your own transport though. The Dundonnell area is rural, peaceful and quiet. The only place close by for dinner is the Dundonnell Hotel which serves good food but is overly priced and looking rundown.

    Spacious comfy lounge, friendly staff.

Spacious comfy lounge, friendly staff. Service slow, seemed like staff were overwhelmed by the the number of visitors. Nice location but in need of upgrade. Unusual not to have TV in bedroom these days, didn’t bother us but may be a problem for others. Price was high compared to similar accommodation, so not great value for money.
