It's an impressive building, with a great view over the hills. The room was spacious, and we enjoyed being able to sit at the table by the window. A reasonable price compared to many other places in the area. We had a car and didn't mind that it's a bit in the middle of nowhere, but it wouldn't be suitable for anybody using public transport or who isn't happy to drive to a nearby town for food or supplies.

Location very good, very clean and all the space we needed. The bed a little cramped but we knew that beforehand from previous reviews. It was still comfy. We liked the fact the owner left us to our own devices and didn’t feel the need to welcome us and chat. We were tired after a long day cycling.

A great little place to explore Lairg and Assynt. Michelle was a very friendly host. The room was spacious and clean, and they left a little welcome bag of lollies. The house has a very cute cottage garden, some very friendly chickens and a dog. If you have breakfast included, bring your appetite! There's a shared kitchen that you can use to prepare food, as there's not much near by for dinner, just one pub that is short staffed, so not always open.

I really liked the rural location, beaches close by lovely walks, superstores only 10 minutes away, the cleanliness of caravan also Julie & Steve very friendly and helpful, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The setting of Strathview lodge is stunning with a magnificent view over the surrounding country side. We slept well and we had a very good breakfast with cereal, yogurt, fruit juice, scrambled egg and smoked salmon, and coffee.

We loved the location and that we could easily explore the NC500 from here. It was so quiet. The scenery was beautiful, wonderful views of the mountains and loch. The hosts Anita and John were lovely, nothing was too much trouble for them. Would love to return in the near future.

LOVED it here! We booked very last minute but we were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The property is just beautiful and the view is stunning. We so wished we could have stayed for longer. The bed is super comfortable (probably the best nights sleep we had on our journey), and they have everything you would need there for you. David is also a wonderful host and we can't wait to return!
