Dragon Inn, hotel in Crickhowell

In Crickhowell, the Dragon Inn has views of the mountains and the Brecon Beacons National Park. It offers modern rooms with free Wi-Fi, a full cooked breakfast and free parking.

Well equipped and spacious family room with lovely little veranda looking onto the beer garden and mountain. Maybe request a quiet room if you want a super peaceful evening in the Summer but it didn't bother us at all. We had everything we needed in the room to prepare for a family wedding nearby. Staff were very helpful and approachable. We loved staying here. The local area is really beautiful.

MAISON50, hotel in Crickhowell

Boasting inner courtyard views, MAISON50 is set in Crickhowell, around 35 km from Clifford Castle. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 25 km from Longtown Castle.

Quirky decor, which I love, super comfortable bed. Well stocked for breaky. Bath was very welcome after a long days’ hike! I didn’t to use the coffee shop as it wasn’t open when I was there but having that on your doorstop plus the bakery, pubs, convenience stores and hiking start points was fantastic.

Crickhowell is a small village with plenty of places to eat (but be sure to book) and has excellent views. The Llanwenarth hotel we are reviewing is not in Crickhowell and is on the main road towards Abergavenny.

    Great location for hiking.

Great location for hiking. Quaint village town with lovely shops, cafes and pubs. Staff all very friendly. There are many historical tourist attractions but I didn’t get to visit them as I was short on time and mainly went for hiking. Parking is the only challenge.

The room was clean, the whole building very tired & worn , needs a lot of money spent on it ! Naomi was a very helpful lady she offered us a lift to the local pub which was very kind of her , very friendly & helpful ! Unfortunately the lady on the reception desk when we arrived was not so pleasant, kept talking over me which is found very frustrating.

Lovely small, vibrant town with a good atmosphere, plenty of places to eat and drink and small independent shops. Nice local history too with the Crickhowell Bridge and the ruins of the castle in town as well as being surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Beautiful characterful old place. Our room, no.25 was in the attic with old beams and very spacious. Comfy beds and clean. The toilets in reception were spotless, the breakfast was spot on and our evening meal was delicious. Staff very friendly, efficient and helpful, recommending walks and ciders! Would definitely stay here again as the location was perfect and to top it all off the weather was glorious. Many thanks for a lovely stay and we hope to be back.

The staff were very friendly to us and our dog. It's my first time in a dog friendly hotel and it was lovely. He could eat with us. He slept in our room which meant that he had a new game of running g up the stairs looking for our room. It was a home from home for us and the mutt. The views are exceptional. The grounds are lovely. And lots of character in the hotel itself.

Our room was not on the spacious side but absolutely fair for 3 nights. The pub is nice and staff is very friendly. Jamaican food is served. Breakfast was only good average but coffee was excellent! LLangattock is located in beautiful Usk Valley. Ideal to explore the Brecon Beacons. There are some nice restaurants in the nearby Crickhowell.

Lovely period accommodation, right Inthe middle of this lovely little town and retaining lots of original features, slightly quirky - but everything we needed was there. For our business trip so much better than a hotel as we were able work at the dining table. We had breakfast at the dragon inn which I highly recommend.

Very helpful hosts. Brilliant location and house. Ideal for us and another family with 4 pre-school children. Lots of space inside (garden smaller than expected but lovely) and quite soundproof. One of the bedrooms had a little extra section that was perfect to fit our son's cot in so he couldn't see our bed!

Lovely view from the front on the hotel and great setting. Very pleasant to sit abs have a drink in the sun when we arrived. Just a short walk to Crickhowell. Lovely to have a pool, sauna and steam room. Worth noting there is a £5 extra charge per person to use. Room was clean with good facilities.
