Absolutely loved the location. Idyllic and peaceful. The lower cooperage was well equipped. Possibly the best equipped holiday cottage we have stayed in. It was warm, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The facilities were fab, with a adult only games room to watch the football in. Didn't get a chance to sample the bar and restaurant as it was closed for food the night we had planned to visit there. The decking outside the cottage meant that the dog could come and go as he pleased. The whole experience was perfect and the team at melfort village could not do enough for us. Warm welcoming and friendly. They were even able to accomodate a later check out for us.. Scooby especially loved the dog welcome box and the fuss that was made over him.

Location was good. Disappointed in the breakfast. We thought we had breakfast included. We were informed we hadn’t. We asked if we could pay for coffee and a muffin or toast and we’re abruptly told no. We could buy coffee. Did not find this location friendly.

I would recommend this holiday as it was wonderful, quiet location, stars at night were amazing. Rabbits running around all the surrounding fields. The views all around were amazing. climb to the top of the mountain and you can see the Irish coast. The local sea food was excellent. We are going back next year. ( for Longer)

Lovely setting with hills, sea and many scattered homes along the coast. Well decorated with comfortable furniture. An interesting location with easy access to Oban. A small number of local shops and a few pubs and restaurants cooking with ingredients made earring a pleasure. Wooden stairs would be difficult with young children but keeps dogs in their place. Friendly helpful owners on site.
