Jane and Richard have created a very comfortable and relaxing space in a beautiful environment. They had so many great recommendations, and so many thoughtful, personal touches that made our experience so enjoyable. Breakfast was perfect! Still dreaming about that stewed rhubarb. Thanks so much for making us feel so at home!

Didn't have breakfast at this location.
Great little cafe around the corner, though.
Good location for what we needed.
The Park Hotel - Where the atmosphere & surroundings are as welcoming as the food. Why not go all the way! To Caithness, the land beyond the Highlands and enjoy the hospitality at the Park Hotel.

Not very much really. The reception staff were nice. The hotel has potential, but not in its present state of repair.

Great hotel and location for a stopover

Castletown itself is quite small, but literally on the outskirts of Thurso. While we were there, their one Morrisons had closed for a total refurbishment, so if you were looking for groceries or the like, you'd have to go a bit further. But the local hotel had a lovely restaurant and there are some other local shops that looked quite handy and nice!

The breakfast buffet was amazing, especially for a quiet winter season. I booked a single room but got upgraded to a beautiful double room. Only the fan in the bathroom was a bit noisy and ran quite long after using the bathroom. The Wi-Fi worked very well, great TV with many channels and a very cosy bed. Very friendly lady at check in. Enjoyed my stay very much.

Good place to stay for an ongoing trip or to explore the beautiful nearby beach, Mae Castle and for a ferry connect (1/2 hour drive).
Good scenic coastal spots to drive to including the light house.

Excellent and high standard provided throughout, from service to bedding to breakfast tables to provisions by hosts Richard and Jane. Best B&B we have stayed in so far, 3 weeks into our trip. Excellent breakfast menu, comfortable large room, and, large ensuite. Very accommodating hosts. A 2 minute drive to Castletown to the local Hotel, for an excellent dinner. Ten minute drive into Thurso. Separate lounge area you can relax in. Can totally recommend.
This was a lovely old house with good parking. Our room was large, comfortable and warm with a good en suite. The breakfast was very good. We were able to walk into Castletown for an evening meal which is wecome after spending a fair amount of time driving.
A six mile drive from Greenland House is the Castle of Mey, it was well worth the visit.
The cottage was peaceful and cozy. The view of the bay and Dunnet Head was lovely. I hiked the cliffs of Dunnet Bay and Holburnhead. My phone stopped charging while I was there, and Chris from Caithness Phone Repairs was super helpful! He and, Jamie and George from PixelIT in Thurso. Jamie, thank God, had a wireless charger!
All our plans were rescheduled due to ferry cancellations so this was a great option. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Good meal in the restaurant and great breakfast in the morning. Parking easy behind the hotel. Only ~15 minutes to John I groats and mini supermarket and petrol just next door. Very clean.
Cosy hotel. Dog friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Food was lovely. Great choice for breakfast and we booked for a couple of evenings meal and they certainly didn't disappoint. Food was beautifully presented and piping hot. Definitely staying there again the next time we go north again.
The Hotel staff were friendly and attentive, particularly with helping my wife and young son around with the buggy when i was at work. The hotel was clean and the food was really really good if not excellent!
The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We will stay here again for sure!
The house was quaint and wonderfully decorated with a sitting room and everything. The windows do let in a decent amount of cold air, but it is an older building and that is to be expected. With the curtains shut and the heat on you barely notice.
A lovely surprise. Such a stylish and comfortable place to stay with accomodating staff. A great place for surfing, birdwatching, or visiting the beautiful Castletown beach. For us, it was the staging point for the ferry to Stromness.
I loved the cleanliness, the staff, the food (amazing!"), the location - Castletown is lovely and we had a lovely time at the harbour and flagstone mill and we went to Wick and Whaligoe Steps!
Small but clean room, friendly staff, good location, water pressure in the shower was great ( it is a big deal since so many small hotels/ b&bs have such a poor water pressure).
