The owner Georgina and her dog Bear were super nice. She made us feel very welcome and told us we had free reign of the kitchen and everything in it. We were upgraded to a HUGE room even though there was only the two of us. It's a lovely quiet location and was very clean.

The town itself seems to be on a down, although it was our first time there for many years and it is a good central location amid nice countryside and attractions if you don't want/need to be actually on the coast. Streets were a bit rowdy on the Saturday night we stayed, but that's not so unusual these days, sadly.

A very pleasant, historic market town. Many cafes and bars, pedestrianised areas. Surprisingly quiet on a weekend visit. Gateway to west Wales, great for use as a base to explore Tenby and other locations further west. Short drive to beach on an estuary, which had free parking.

Carmarthen is a nice little town, big enough to be interesting but not too big to explore. The remains of the Castle are easily accesible and there's a nice park on the outskirts. If you're travelling by train, the train station is a reasonable walk from the town centre.

Laugharne is an interesting little place, and not too far from the many fine Pembrokeshire beaches all along the coast from Saundersfoot to Freshwater West. If you stay in Carmarthen be sure to go to Llandeilo where you will find Gold Mines and National Trust’s Dinefwr Park and Castle is well worth a stop.

We saw the town on a Sunday. Vey quiet.

We saw the town on a Sunday. Vey quiet. However, there is more to the town than first glance (just), but too much retail - so much unoccupied. Given history, very little historic class on view. The hey day has gone, what now? Perfect accommodation, very close to town.

Perfect location near to the town centre and loads of bars and restaurants. Hotel has been recently refurbished and looks great. Staff at reception was super helpful and very pleasant as was our servers at breakfast which was spectacular!!! Room was very comfortable as was the bed, and shower/bath was spot on. Loads of space in the room. Parking not easy for large cars SUV,s but cheap parking available close by. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The hotel is based in the centre of town, a short walk from anything. Very close to restaurants and pubs with plenty to do. The breakfast that was included was good, full cooked English was offered every morning via buffet - although we did have to wait for some items for some time. The rooms were a good size and the bed was comfy enough

The fact that it was on a farm. The breakfast choices were very good, and the owner just lovely. Friendly & helpful. The location was perfect for where we wanted to go, & actually would have been perfect for anywhere on that side of South Wales.

We enjoyed the bar, clean and hot showers, and the possibility to check in late at night. The owner/bartender is a great man who traveled the world and gave great recommendations for our travels around Wales. We would love to stay again!
