We enjoyed the castle, old buildings, tea rooms, views over the estuary, trip on the boat. Also went to the Air Museum at Caernarfon Airport and took a ride in the little plane which went all the way to Llanberis and over Mt Snowdon. As it was self catering we only ate out twice. Nice and easy to get to Llanberis, Holyhead and other places of interest.

It is a small place but has a few good food and drink places, and has a well-built city centre for a pleasant walk, along with the Welsh coastal walk.
It is a good location for accessing anglesea and snowdon, which is what we did.
It has options for accommodations that are located in quiet and peaceful areas, yet a walkable distance from amenities.

It was the base to places such as Llanbedrog, Morfa Bychan, Dinas Dinle , and particularly Newborough in Anglesey and Snowdon all within 30 minutes to 40 minutes drive. We did not visit Caernarfon itself.

Beautiful walled town.
Beautiful walled town. The castle, the marina and the Welsh highland railway are great places to visit. There are also some nice little independent shops and many good places to eat. There is also recreation/activity centres locally or nearby. I also used it to get to other towns and villages that have worse or more expensive accommodation, like Conwy or towns in Anglesey, Snowdonia.

A small town centre, with a few independent shops and a pretty quayside. The castle is attractive and imposing, dominating the scene. A few nice eating and drinking establishments, but many places - including the castle - don't permit dogs, which is both disappointing and rather short sighted these days.
The pub right by the sea was really quite poor, but had the views. The Old Courthouse was a hidden gem with delicious food and lovely setting. Prebooking tables seems essential in all places.
Caernarfon is not far from Anglesey which is worth a visit for walks and scenery, beautiful views all round. Plus a surprisingly pleasant pier at nearby Bangor.
It was well presented and well equipped with the smallest of things considered. Not just providing towels but a face flannel too. Small milk cartons in the fridge like you get in hotels for your coffee.
All instructions on how to use the recycling and other items were provided. A parking permit and information on where to park was invaluable.
Location was perfect as a centre for the town as well as the wider areas to visit
A lovely little bolthole to relax in after a day exploring North Wales. Chris was lovely and made sure we had everything we could need. The bara brith was a nice extra touch. Clean bathroom with a good shower. Very convenient location close to the centre of Caernarfon with parking!
The location is fantastic. Located right next to the castle and only a few yards from multiple restaurants and pubs. There is no parking at the hotel; however, there is a large public carpark directly behind the hotel that only charges £6.00+ for 24htr parking. What a deal!
The breakfast was slightly limited, but was cooked well. The staff were very courteous and attentive. There was plenty of parking and the hotel was well situated; within walking distance or all the amenities in Caernarfon.
