The location was super. Nice and quiet and a convenience store nearby as well as a craft brewery.. The train went right past our room, however you hardly noticed it. The included breakfast was wonderful and the staff were all great! We ate a meal in the dining room and the meal was good as well.Seemed like a nice pub as well, however it was hard to get a drink when we tried, so we just enjoyed a, whisky of ours in the lobby which had a great ambience. It is an older property that could maybe use a bit of a freshening up,however there really was nothing to complain about at all..It also had a fantastic beer garden it looked like, however it was rainy and not open during our stay

Beautiful location. Close to House of Bruar and waterfall walk. We stayed in garden rooms separate to main hotel, think when you are staying somewhere like this breakfast should be included in the price, I know it wasn’t advertised with breakfast but for a 5* we were surprised. Lovely menu in the evening, £85 pp service excellent but we felt rushed.

Ours was a whistlestop tour, mainly to get our heads down for the night after a 5 hour drive.
The village is beautiful with lots to see and do. We stayed at Dalgriene Guest house which I'd highly recommend.
We ate at The Loft Restaurant and would definitely eat there again.
I can't wait to go back and explore the village further

Great base for visiting attractions in the Highlands, quite a lot of place's to visit in the area.
Great area if you area a walker.
Train station just at sidecof the hotel, so not far to walk. Be aware that there are not a lot of places to eat in the area.

We had breakfast at the Old Water Mill, a must! Excellent breakfast and the bread is to die for.
The Atholl Arms was good, service a little slow, but we were in no rush.

A beautiful building with very comfortable bedrooms. Lots of seating options with log fires and squashy sofas. The Bothy Bar caters for all you needs from a snack to a sumptuous meal. The food is outstanding.
It's a beautiful area with lovely walks and the sun has always been shining on my visits, even when it was near freezing.

The bedroom was not as displayed on the booking .com and their own site, and the bed was very uncomfortable as you could feel the springs through the mattress. The bathroom was updated and looks lovely the bedroom was large but in need of up grading the tv was old and small the remote did not work as it was not the remote for the tv so you had change tv station/sound manually. At breakfast the link sausage was hard to cut and the potatoe scone was not cooked.
The evening meal in the Bothy bar was great and the staff were attentive.
We had a great stay in mid-November. The room was great and the hotel cosy and homely feeling. But what really makes the place is the staff. Friendliest, kindest and most helpful around. Then, when you think they can't do more, they went above and beyond during a prolonged powercut from Storm Arwen. Food was great aswell. Would happily go back. Thanks for making a special occasion for us, that bit more special.
We stayed three nights to attend a wedding at Blair Atholl Castle, and the property was ideally located for the venue and the train station. There is a useful shop moments away, and we enjoyed a pleasant meal at the Atholl Arms where staff were very friendly and food was tasty. The cottage is very clean with decent facilities and comfortable beds.
