Beautiful house in an excellent location for touring around Dumfries and Galloway. Very comfortable traditionally decorated house complemented by friendly helpful hosts. Breakfast was excellent and parking available outside the house. Wigtown book town is a lovely village well worth a visit not only for books but also coffee and cakes! Hope to return soon.

The property was clean and comfortable, the garden was lovely to sit in. We had a delicious meal in the Lairds inn, which is a short walk through the caravan park. There were lovely walks in the area.

The Ship was a really nice place to stay. Perfect location for a short stay. The rooms were nice. Everywhere was clean n tidy. Breakfast was excellent and enjoyed our evening meal we had booked for sunday evening.

Breakfast was good and the waiting staff were very attentive. I did not think the restaurant in the evening served good food.The chicken supreme didnt have a sauce with it ,was more like a gravy and the presentationwas devoid of colour ,only green broccoli stems.The blueberry cheese cake size was tiny my mistake was not taking photo of it never have I had such a small portion.

David was a very welcoming host.
Room a very good size with good facilities, the bathroom was very spacious and there was an actual dressing room/ wardrobe area. Expected just a continental breakfast but a full cooked was offered and accepted. We were also offered an evening meal though we had made arrangements.
