This is an excellent hotel right in the heart of Beaumaris. Hannah is and super host and made our stay both comfortable and very enjoyable - nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and very nicely appointed with lots of little extras such as a fridge, bottled water, fresh milk and even a dog bed provided for our fur face. Also the breakfast was excellent and very good value for money. Thoroughly recommended and we will definitely return - thank you for everything Hannah from Brian, Eliza and Ragnar dog.

The food was exceptional in both the restaurant and the coffee shop. The bar wasn’t overpriced and the lounge areas always had some seats available

Lovely place , plenty of choice to eat and drink , great views from the wheel. Also , I would just like to correct myself , the name was Jackie who was front of house , not Julia , we had contact with Julia before arriving , whole gave a good belly laugh , the smoky negative I had from the staff was the on duty Manager , the rest of the staff were amazing

Beaumaris is a beautiful costal town.
Beaumaris is a beautiful costal town. It has panoramic views over the Menai Straits. There are plenty of eating options for every taste. The town has an artistic focus with many art outlets and gift shops. There are also opportunities to attend workshops. We dined at Bishopsgate hotel and The Liverpool hotel. Food at both establishments was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Lots of lovely walk from the town centre and a castle and jail house to visit. The town is very easy to walk around and there is ample parking space not too far from the town cwntre.

Lots of things to see in Beaumauris.
Lots of things to see in Beaumauris. The castle is worth a visit with views of the Menai straits. There is a large car park on the sea front at £6 for all day parking. There are free, clean public toilets in the centre of town. Lots of great shops and eating places. I took a boat trip around Puffin Island, there are a couple of companies doing these, it lasted 1 hour 20 minutes and well worth doing. The sea is a bit choppy around the island due to the water currents.

Booked hotel to take a morning boat trip to Puffin island, trip was cancelled due too bad weather, we later found out that the puffins were not there at that time of year, so check they are nesting before you go. Nice little town ok for a day visit.

There is so much to do in such a small and pretty village. The castle is two minutes from the hotel which displays lots of historical information. Lots of independent shops are great for browsing and offer locally produced goods.
St. Mary and St. Nicholas church offers free entry and is a beautiful building with an information sheet offering more details on its history.
Beaumaris is a great place for a leisurely stroll with plenty to see and do.

beautifull welsh town with nice old cottages and buildings.
beautifull welsh town with nice old cottages and buildings. loads of local history including the Beaumaris castle. my favourite part is the Barron hill estate that I really love. the history behind it is amazing and not many people know its there. best pub for food is defiantly the George and dragon and the meals are good quality and get loads. one place to avoid in my opinion is the ye old bull. no staff and there rude in there plus overpriced.
Very nice place which seems to have been refurbished recently.
We stayed in the main building which is full of character. Room was large and very well decorated. Bed was good size and very comfortable. Very large bathroom with bath and good shower.
Staff at hotel where very friendly and accommodating,
We only had breakfast at hotel which was made from good quality ingredients.
Overall would not stay in main hotel again but would use Town House which is part of hotel adjacent. Rooms are overpriced due noise issue.
The location is excellent in the heart of the town. The building, from 1706, creaks everywhere and the floors are uneven and funny. The bedroom was large and comfortable. The bed was bigger than some rooms we've had in other hotels! The refurbished restaurant was large and attractive. The menu was very extensive with something for everyone's taste. The management couple were very welcoming and ensured that standards were maintained. The staff were very friendly and pleasant and worked very hard to look after guests.
Very friendly staff and a lovely clean room which was refurbished during lockdown. The location is just off the main road through Beaumaris, lots of restaurants within a few minutes walk, pier and views of the Menai Straight just a couple of mins walk also. I really liked the small bottle of fresh milk for tea and coffee in the room, such a small and easy thing to do and makes q massive difference, why don't all hotels do that. Lovely selection of biscuits and some Welsh cake also in the room.
Nice apartment in the heart of Beaumaris. It is located above an ice cream store and in a building that has been restored from medieval times, which is fascinating! There are some amazing old beams and some uneven floors, all livable, yet all within modern updates. The apartment was immaculate and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen and cozy bedrooms. A washing machine is available in the apartment. A nice welcoming package was also given to us to enjoy upon arrival.
Location was away from Beaumaris, but literally 5 mins by car and a lovely 30 min walk away. House was perfect for our family of 9. Spacious, extremely well looked after and exactly what we needed. Enough room for 3 cars to park safely. All adults and all children give it the thumbs up. Brilliant base for sightseeing and adventures in Anglesey.
The Bishopsgate House Hotel is a lovely hotel that we couldn't fault! The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was really well-equipped and comfortable and even had sea views which we didn't expect.
We very much enjoyed the breakfast too.
The hotel has its own car park to the rear. It's a real bonus having car parking in Beaumaris.
By far the best guest house in Beaumaris! Nothing was too much to ask and we enjoyed a wonderful stay at this lovely property.
I have been staying at Beaumaris for years and this is undoubtedly the best accommodation of its type in the village. Rooms were lovely, perfectly situated and the service was absolutely fantastic.
The location is 1 block from the waterfront, the same from the remains of the castle, and likewise from the main street, all of which is on the level, so exceptionally easy to walk to all. There is also a very small pub in the back of the hotel, which was quite handy and seemed very "local".
The location was ideal for amenities shops bars etc. When booking this hotel online other reviews had states a dog friendly hotel however this only applies to the restaurant not the accommodation. The manager was very accommodating & allowed us to have the dog stay in our room for 1 night.
Excellent self catering accommodation fitted out to a high standard. Host very friendly and helpful. Located close to the centre of Beaumaris. Plenty of choice for eating out. Good location for touring Anglesey and with the A55 not far away other N Wales attractions are easily accessible.
This is a traditional large English/Welsh hotel with a high standard of accommodation and service, good meals, comfortable rooms and an excellent location in the centre of Beaumaris on Anglesey, with some rooms (including ours) overlooking the Menai Straits and the mountains.
Great clean apartment - everything you could need for self catering. Lovely comfy beds and nice bed linen. Super location for Beaumaris - round the corner from the fab bakery and minutes from the sea front. No issue with parking on the road outside. Will book again
The apartment was wonderful and clean and modern, comfortable, everything you could possibly need and host Fergal was lovely and kind. Great location just minutes walk from pier, shops and castle, wouldn't stay anywhere else if visiting Beaumaris!
Located in heart of Beaumaris, walking distance to main attractions of the castle and pier.
Spacious room with good amenities (fridge, kettle, tea, biscuits, welshcakes).
Dogs welcomed with a dog bed provided.
We had a super king sized bed. The room was a good size. Perfect location in Beaumaris. Nice pint in the hotel. Plenty of seating even due to social distancing. Room was clean. Tea & coffee facilities. Towels.
The Bull is perfectly situated in Beaumaris and has ample indoor and outdoor relaxation space when you just want to chill in the hotel for a while.Beautiful restaurant space and fantastic staff
The location was good and easy to find. Good location for getting about and touring around Anglesey.
Plenty of space in the cottage and the grounds. Quiet & peaceful; plenty of parking.
Plenty of space in the cottages we rented. Great for getting family groups and friends together. Quiet location, but close to Beaumaris and some lovely areas of Anglesey.
