The owners were really friendly and helpful the whole way through our stay. The interior design is really nicely done making the most of an older building with interesting history. Rooms lovely. Cocktails in the evening and breakfast were excellent (particularly the scrambled egg which was absolutely delicious!) we will definitely be back.

We have spent a lot of time around Scotland. The area certainly isn't the most beautiful I would say, although it is very easily accessible from the cities, Dundee, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
If you would like the most beautiful Scottish scenery head to the west coast or the Cairngorms, but then you wouldn't get a hotel of this scale and scope there.

Nice small town with plenty of shops and places to eat and drink for the time we stayed, 3 nights. Taxi into town was £8 and was very prompt. Locals were very friendly and seemed pleased to talk to us and notice our motorcycles, which seemed to draw them towards us in a nice way.

If you don’t want to drive there is a bus service with stops close to the holiday home. Some lovely shops and eateries in Auchterarder. Easy to get to the nearby little village of Dunning, Perth, Falkirk, Stirling etc if you can drag yourselves away from the Gleneagles estate. Lots to do there - including the golf of course - or just sit back, relax and enjoy a good book in the natural surroundings. The holiday home has excellent facilities for self catering or alternatively the Gleneagles Hotel offers excellent dining facilities and is only about 500 yards away from your base.
Would highly recommend.
We were playing golf at Gleneagles and the location is just perfect. A 10 minute walk through the grounds to the main hotel, bars, restaurants and golf courses. Beautifully decorated, cosy and well equipped. Looking at staying again in June!
We liked the size of the site, not too big or busy. We went for a relaxing time and that's exactly what we got. Nice distance into Auchterarder or Gleneagles for a visit.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Great room, nice food, really good staff. Great Sunday night entertainment in the bar too. The whole estate is very well maintained.
