We had an overnight stay. TBH the hotel is a little tired, but it was clean with comfy beds, friendly staff and the bar menu is good value and well presented food. Its ideal for a 1 or 2 night stay.

The location was superb, the owner and staff were welcoming and friendly, the food was excellent in every way. Great views from our room across the sea loch. We loved watching the yachts going through the locks and we also cycled the full length of the canal and other places of interest. Delicious home baking in the Coffee Shop too!

The area is very interesting. The Nation Trust Garden is next door. Boat trips are available from nearby Marina. The slate islands are worth a visit with small ferries giving access. The village of Ardfern with facilities and cottages for hire abound Some fine fare to be had.
