Value for money should not be confused with cheapness and the Devon River Glamping Pods raise the bar when it comes to Glamping comfort. We were looking for somewhere to relax after three weeks of travelling, and the terrace with the view over the riding stable paddocks and the hills beyond was an idilic place to do that.

The Colessio has been a favourite of ours in the past but when we returned to a Stirling recently we found it only OK - a bit tired and needing refurbishment.

We stayed at the Inglewood House as we had business in Alloa next day. Room was very spacious as was the bathroom. Room well appointed with view over the grounds. We had dinner in the restaurant in pleasant surroundings. Food was of very high quality and the service was quick. Breakfast on the morning of departure was cooked to order with copius quantities of toast and coffee. In all a very pleasant place to stay and dine.
. The main hotel building is beautiful, both the lobby and the dining room. The surrounding gardens also provide for great atmosphere.
In addition to the bed, there us a nice couch where you can sit and watch TV.
We had very good dinner in the hotel restaurant. We also had the continental breakfast buffet which was OK value at 9 pound per person, though selection is quite limited.
