It was nice to have traditional English breakfast in an old English house. The area, the house and the garden were beautiful. The brief conversation with the erudite host (Gregory) was a bonus.
The cottage blew us away when we entered, with its well equipped large country kitchen and living rooms, 2 great bedrooms and beautiful bathroom. The hosts left Prosecco in the fridge and eggs, croissants and jams, we wanted for nothing. Location was tremendous, with only a short walk to the Allanton Inn, a superb pub that we went to twice. Easy on-site parking.
The hotel was very comfortable. The room was lovely and had all that I needed. The food was excellent. The staff friendly and efficient. The breakfast was varied and appeared to meet everyone's need. The fresh fruit was excellent. The meals were very good and a varied choice too. A super stay, and if in the area again I would return. Thank you.
We loved everything about The Allanton Inn. The room was lovely, absolutely immaculate and everything was provided including good quality products in the bathroom. Very comfortable bed. The breakfast and dinner were exceptional. The food was well prepared and cooked using mainly local ingredients.
The staff were warm, friendly & welcoming...nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant & food was exceptional. Breakfast was amazing with such a wonderful choice...all served with a smile & Scottish hospitality. I would love to keep the Allanton Inn a secret.......I highly highly recommend.
Second visit to the Allanton Inn. Everything was as good as it was on our previous visit.
Great room facilities, great food and excellent service. What more could you want?
