Our philosophy is to create a hotel which fulfils our idea of the perfect place to go and stay. This perfect place, whether restaurant or hotel, should be entirely in sympathy with its surroundings.

Breakfast was good buffet style plenty of choice. It was nice that you got sachets of coffee and hot water rather than ready made.
Staff were all friendly polite .
Just 6 miles from the foot of Ben Lomond, this friendly 4-star hotel has a quiet location, on the shores of Loch Ard. It has a spa, a select menu of wines and whiskies, and an on-site activity centre....

Staff were all friendly and helpful. The grounds are lovely to walk around and well maintained. Breakfast and my evening meal were both tasty and well presented.

The view from our bedroom window (rear of property) was outstanding- it doesn’t get much better. The room was large, high ceiling with large comfy bed.
The manager, Douglas, was outstanding. A very engaging, positive man who made us extremely welcome (and cooked us breakfast).

Tony was very welcoming and his home and the facilities were great. Lovely pets and in a good location with a fabulous restaurant nearby. Would recommend!
Just 5 minutes from Loch Lomond, The Buchanan Arms Hotel & Leisure Club offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. With a whisky bar, stylish rooms and a restaurant, there is also a leisure club.
Aberfoyle is a beautiful little village. You must visit Maggie’s Kitchen. Delicious, traditionally made sweet treats and baked goods.
The wool place is really interesting and fun too. Make sure you visit the little wool hut out the front to get wool and woollen goods made from wool off the sheep just outside the door!
We didn’t visit any of the cafes or pubs as we were following a specific eating plan.. but they all looked fabulous.
Just a lovely part of the world.

We all hated the visit at MacDonald Foresthill's Hotel Aberfeldy. After arriving late evening we checked out the following morning. Hated the Lodge (Spiders and cobweb on balcony and bedrooms), Hotel and resort require extensive upgrade. No internet in lodge, hotel and resort. Would not recommend this place to anyone I know.

We stayed in Aberfoyle at a campsite on the way and hotel on the way back. It was a pleasent village with a sheepdog show if you can catch it at the wool centre. I was disappointed that the wool centre didn't contain wool for crafting but wool products.
The post office was helpful and we had some nice cups of tea and great meal in the forth.
Easy to get around and a large central car park.

Aberfoyle was quite nice for a small village ,was not there long enough to give a good review. Would avoid the Rob Roy hotel if we ever returned, evening meal was a disgrace, the portion size was minute to say the least, the chef needs to rethink when sending out food for adults, we were given a 50 percent discount on the meal but would rather have had a decent meal, felt sorry for the waitresses who bore the brunt of complaint.
This property was right in the center of this quiet town. It was clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed. Communication with the host was great. It was a wonderful place to spend the night while traveling through the area. There was a travel information center/shop right across the street. There were also a few paths to walk around in the area.
They were so incredibly kind and welcoming. There were great little nooks to tuck away and read on the main floor. And the breakfast spread was one of the best I had while in Scotland. There were only two other parties there during my stay, giving it an even more intimate feel. It a great place to unplug and unwind, and I wish I could’ve stayed longer!
Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff at this Inn. I really enjoyed the space in my bedroom, the very comfortable sleep, the evening bar meal and breakfast. Staff serving meals were excellent.
My bicycle was stored safely within the hotel.
Aberfoyle is a nice town in wonderful countryside, and I would be very happy to return to this hotel again.
Staff were very friendly. Jackie checked me in, and was very welcoming. The shower in our designated twin room wasn't working, so I was notified on arrival that we had been moved to two double rooms for no extra charge. It is true that the hotel needs updating, but this is clearly a work in progress. Good shower and radiator.
Our host, Alison and Yas were wonderful and welcoming. The property and location were better than expected. The bed and sheets were luxurious. The food was done well including breakfast and dinner cooked by Chef Yas.
I would heartily recommend this property in the Trossachs region of Scotland.
The building is magnificent and the staff were too. Really made to feel at home. Douglas and Peter were friendly and helpful. Room was stunning, huge and priceless view. Not a high end hotel standard but definitely clean and I will be back for sure. Amazing walks all around the area.
Perfect location for visiting the Trossachs. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean. We had a 3 course evening meal which was delicious and excellent value for money.
We booked this for our wedding night as we were having the wedding in aberfoyle! Can't fault it at all, the owners were so nice and accommodating, location is excellent and the views are second to none!
This was a wonderful stay, such a warm and friendly welcome with such genuine team that made our stay an absolute joy.
