I arrived on a bike, so was unable to carry food around with me. However the gîte owner was very helpful indeed. Although the gîte is classified as self catering, she left a bag of fresh coffee in the kitchen, and arrived at 7 o'clock in the morning with a lovely breakfast before she had to go off to work. This was totally outside the requirements of the contact.
There is no restaurant in Conflandey, you need to travel 6 to 7 km to Port-sur-Saône. That's easy on a bike on a lovely flat route along the river - to avoid the steps to the nearest bridge, just go back north 1/2 km to the road bridge, then you pick up the cycle path.
