Staff was very helpfull. When I checked in at the reception they immediately handed me a map of Arles and told me where I could find the tnteresting sites and places concerning Van Gogh. The hotel is very well xituated, very close to the railway station, but still within the city walls (next to Porte de la Cavalerie). There are many shops and restaurts in the neighbourhood.

This is quiet, charming, old fashioned hotel from the outside but cosy and modern within.
Room a little small perhaps and tiny but perfectly appointed bathroom, with the usual, slightly precarious French (spiral) staircase of once upon a time.
Staff sweet and super helpful and owner a treasure: left me in charge for half an hour one afternoon while accompanying another guest to the local garage to sort out mechanical problems.
A 10 minute walk from the station and less than a minute from the tiny, compact, centre; there's a nice little patio outside for a drink or snacks and the breakfast room inside is perfect for reading a book or catching up on e-mails.
Arles is in truth a 2 day stay max, with half a dozen arty and historical sites worth visiting, great eateries and bakeries but

We went, as most do, to see where Van Gogh painted.
We went, as most do, to see where Van Gogh painted. There are no tours to take around the sites, so you have to make your own way with a audio tour, not great. In one location, there is a small stand with VG's painting of what you looking at, brilliant, needs to be done in the other locations. The yellow cafe is in a terrible state - so wrong for such a site of artistic importance. Shame on you Arles. But town is lovely with 'arty' vibe, pretty and the roman remains are great. Would have stayed longer if we could.

It's a beautiful city that is easy to walk around. In summer it is packed with fabulous photography exhibitions. I love that so many people walk about in the city and along the river, at all hours. The Saturday market is fabulous - so many stalls selling everything you could possibly want. If you're looking for 2nd hand items, check out Emmaus Arles, which is just a few minutes out of town.

The attractions - amphitheatre, etc. did not let us visit with our little dog; All the shops and restaurants did and were really kind and friendly to pets...but not the visitor attractions (although Italy is a very pet friendly place to visit. That was OK, we didn't have to spend the money on tickets, their loss.

Arles was an accidental surprise!
Arles was an accidental surprise! We went for a specific reason and stayed for pure enjoyment. The old town is very walkable and both historic and cute French, the Saturday market is ENORMOUS, LUMA was an unexpected joy (4 hours and we could go back), Van Gogh Foundation was great and I'm sure there is more to explore. We'll be back!

For me, Arles is one of the most interesting places to visit in France. With its 1st century Roman ruins, Van Gogh's history there as illustrated through many of his paintings, and the beautiful Carmargue horses and delta environment, there were so many wonderful things to do and explore. The highlight of my trip was at the Domaine de Mejanes restaurant where we magically enjoyed the music of two nephews from the internationally renowned band Gipsy Kings! As it turns out they are from Arles and the family performs often at restaurants in the area. We cant wait to return! One note - if you ride the horses in the Camargue area be sure to bring lots of mosquito repellant as the waterways are a natural environment for them.

Beautiful, walkable city retaining its character with numerous roman ruins and historic sites. Fun to explore tiny side streets and great restaurants. Watch out for the Mistral - you might need layers or a warmer jacket!
It's an old and historical building, very well restructured, located inside a bush. The park is wonderful, with a pool and a lot of pieces of great design and charm. You can have a breakfast in one of table in the park. The parking is large, without any problem. The room is furnished in the best and fashinable way with a great balcony. Arles is far 7 km from the hotel, but by car isn't a great problem
Excellent small hotel, perfect for exploring old Arles. Good value secure parking ( less expensive than on street)
Nathalie was a friendly and efficient host. Would highly recommend.
We had a beautiful large room with a terrace on the first floor, extremely comfortable bed with quality linen….. felt spoilt!!!
Hope to see you again Nathalie.
The room was tiny but adequate for my needs. The hotel overall is charming with a lovely internal courtyard. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The location is excellent. It is a historic building so your staying in the real Arles.
Lovely old house with interesting features. Good Patio garden where we could have breakfast. Good breakfasts. Easy walk into old part of Arles. Free on street parking round the Hotel.
The wonderful decor, comfortable bed, lovely breakfasts, fabulous staff, located ideally for all the sights in Arles. A gorgeous hotel to which we will return.
