Small, cozy, very quiet hotel located next to central bus station in Turku which makes it a perfect starting point for trips in Turku and beyond. I went to Finland for hiking, and all the buses I needed to reach the trails had stops just outside of the hotel. City center, marketplace and the famous market hall are all within walking distance, reachable within 5-7 minutes but you can also commute two bus stops if you want. Breakfast buffet was amazing, wide choice of breads and buns, warm and cold food, veggies, fruit, even two types of coffee (milder and stronger one). I once bought a lunch in their cafe as well and I loved it - very homey, nourishing, tasty meals. In the hall there's also a coffee machine with a very good free coffee / tea for the guests and a microwave.
The rooms and bathrooms are clean and well-kept, air conditioning is also there if you need it. Heated floor in the bathroom was a very welcome addition. The hotel provides several towels for each guest and hair-dryers are available in the bathrooms so it's perfect place to stay if you travel with minimum luggage.
The staff was extremely nice and helpful with anything you need.

I went with my wife to Turku to spend our wedding anniversary here. Guided by the high reviews and the offer, we decided on this hotel. It was an excellent decision. Why? Because the staff, always smiling, was top-notch and extremely helpful. On top of that, as part of our anniversary, a small gift from the hotel was waiting for us in the room, for which we are very grateful.
At the same time, we felt extremely safe and it was nice to return to the room in the evening after a day of exploring beautiful Turku.

The best part of Turku was our self guided tour of the castle which was amazing and easy to access via the local bus. We didn’t have a vehicle and only stayed one night so didn’t venture far. Disappointed in the old town as I expected more.

The marina boat museum.The Castle unbelieveable spent 4 hours there,The river and refreshment cafes along the river bank The museum particular the old monastery museum. The wonderfull cathedral The botanical gardens amazing. The shops. Seeing the deer as you drive through the roads with the glades amongst the trees anode course the wonder of the children and adults when the go to Moominworld. Great beautiful city. Loved that lot’s of families were in the city as it’s not common in bigger cities. There was a playground in the city centre. Service was good everywhere we went. Loved the smiles and greetings.
Funikulaari was a great find, can use it for free to get on top of the mountain.

Turku is a very nice smaller city in FInland. There are lots of intereting places to visit in the surrounding area, the river aura, the cathedral, the museum, the harbour, Ruisallo island, the botanical gardens. Also plenty of good places to eat.
The service was extraordinary and all employees more than friendly and all with a smile on their face. Especially I want to mention Simo in the breakfast room, who filled all my wishes immediately. When I mentioned that the room is very cold, he brought me a blanket within few minutes. This hotel will be the only one for our next stays in Turku.
The hotel is very centrally located in Turku, the description of the hotel corresponds to reality. The room is spacious. I find it very convenient that there is a microwave, a small fridge and a kettle in the room. The room was very clean, with plenty of towels, even the organic waste is separated! I felt very comfortable here.
very tasty breakfasts, fresh juices, fruits, vegetables, delicious bread, yogurts. Vegetarians and vegans will be satisfied, everyone will find something for themselves. This is typical for the Scandic chain, so you will have such a choice in every hotel. There is of course a sauna :)
Central location, easy to park right in front of the hotel (public parking though), breakfast was quite basic, but good. Staff in the coffee shop very friendly. Rooms were clean and even though by the road, you couldn't hear any noise from the street. Friendly staff.
I am very happy with my stay at Scandic Julia. My room was quiet, with a very comfortable bed, perfect for relaxing after a long day. I visited the hotel sauna and I was very satisfied with the complimentary breakfast. I would gladly return.
