A comfortable room with enough hanging space. Nice bathroom and a good shower. Good breakfast, plenty of choice. Make your own waffles was an imaginative addition . The roof top bar was brilliant - half undercover if raining and ample outside space if nice weather. Good cocktails at a fair price and a reasonable choice of wine by the glass. Great location with lots of parking .

The original capital of Finland, Turku is the country’s oldest city that features a bustling harbour, an array of museums and restaurants, and is renowned for being the cradle of Finnish culture.
During the summer Turku’s waterfronts come alive with boat bars and cafés, along with popular festivals such as Ruisrock Festival and Turku Music Festival, which are held in July and August respectively.
The city offers a number of entertainment options and landmarks such as the Wäinö Aaltonen Museum of Art, Turku Cathedral and the medieval Turku Castle, which overlooks the harbour.
Tallink Silja Terminal and Viking Line Terminal offer regular ferry services to destinations such as Stockholm, Åland Islands and Moomin World Theme Park, located on the island of Kailo.
Check out the Booking.com website to choose from a selection of hostels, apartments and hotels in Turku, Naantali and throughout Finland.
Turku is a very nice smaller city in FInland. There are lots of intereting places to visit in the surrounding area, the river aura, the cathedral, the museum, the harbour, Ruisallo island, the botanical gardens. Also plenty of good places to eat.

We didn't get to see much of Turku, unfortunately.
We didn't get to see much of Turku, unfortunately. We stayed there as it was convenient for Naantali. However, there were a number of museums and galleries etc that I would have liked to have seen.

It is a good experience from spring until autumn.
It is a good experience from spring until autumn. In between everything is gloomer with less opportunities. At any time of year, you should not expect that most people will meet your eyes nor smile. Nature is nice and during the summer there are possibilities visiting archipelago. If you are in the downtown, don't forget to visit over 100 year old Turku market hall, where you can have a great lunch and feel the local vibe. There are also plenty of unique nature walks around the sea or forests close b

Ate a couple of times at Timbuktu. Very nice African restaurant.
Public transport is cheap, on-time and convenient. It is 3 euros for two hours on any bus line.
The city doesn't sleep in summer time. Firsthand experience!

Just a lovely city with plenty of attractions to visit, naval history, medieval castle, lovely parks, plenty of choice regarding eating out (recommend Panimoravintola Koulu; Lone Star (burgers, fries)), easy to get around by walking, bike and/or scooter. Great base for exploring the islands of the Turku Archipelago. Must see attractions include Luostarimaki open air history quarter, walking or running along the Aura river, Turku medieval castle at Linnanpuisto park, Ispoinen beach and Sauna; various historical sailing ships along the Aura.

I went to Turku for Knotfest, so I didn't have enough time to see all the views. But, since I've been to Turku many times, I can tell you that it is an excellent place to visit with many sights to see, and not overly touristy. I recommend seeing Turun Linna (Turku castle), the River Aura, the old wooden neighborhoods, and the Turku cathedral.
If you are traveling on a budget, the public transport system works well, unless you use it after midnight when music festivals have just finished, such as Knotfest. In that case, be prepared to get ditched by bus drivers. For cheap food, you can download the ResQ app to buy cheap lunches from restaurants and help reduce food waste in the process. Hotel atmosphere as an old jail is still living in there but everything has been updated and upgraded for modern hotel.
The stairs between floors are the biggest reminder of old purpose of the building, nice that they have not been replaced. Even though they were so quiet to step so maybe some upgrade has been made?
Breakfast included famous Kakola oatmeal porridge which was good, maybe better than previous residents had?
This is an old-fashioned "proper" hotel with unique decoration in each room. It had a homely feel and character. The breakfast had plenty of options for everyone with good space. Location was great - a short walk from the city, backing onto a park. There is outdoor seating and a bar in reception offering local beers. We had a big roll-top bath as well as a shower.
The unique experience of staying in a cabin on a boat on the river in Turku was great.
The location is only a few km from the center and only a 10 minute walk to the main ferry terminal building.
Located right next to the hotel is the famous historic Turku castle landmark, well worth a visit.
The staff at the SS Bore were helpful.
Good apprtments. You will have the microwave owen, el.ketle , coffe machin, el.plit, fridge, tv and free Wi-Fi. Good location. Supermarkets located from 5 min walk, cafe and restorans from from 3 min walk. The 2 minutes walk to the river promenade. To the Turku center around 11min walk. Local bus stop at the same place .
The location was perfect. Our host was terrific. She even met us and gave us a ride from the train station. The apartment was comfortable. She was. extremely nice about the misunderstanding that was totally my fault about there being 3 rather than 2 of us, and she turned down extra money.
Great location on the river in Turku between the cathedral and the castle. Close to lots of really good restaurants and bars. Very easy and cheap to get to the airport by bus and convenient for the train station. Staff are helpful. Breakfast is good but not the best we had in Finland.
very tasty breakfasts, fresh juices, fruits, vegetables, delicious bread, yogurts. Vegetarians and vegans will be satisfied, everyone will find something for themselves. This is typical for the Scandic chain, so you will have such a choice in every hotel. There is of course a sauna :)
We have stayed at the hostel once and this time we booked a hotel room. It was really clean and comfy. Nothing over the top but just what we needed to be happy. Nice breakfast with options for people with diet restrictions. Easy parking. I would gladly stay again.
This boutique hotel is gorgeous with a beautiful design everywhere. Every single detail in the rooms is well thought-through. The price we paid for our room (95euro) was excellent. The free parking was much appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.
Good place to stay in Turku. Public parking available at the road (not too busy). To the center of Turku around 30min walk. Near around 10- 15 minutes located supermarkets. 10- 15 min walk to cafe or restoran. Very quit around.
Location is excellent - at least if you are driving your self. There were enough parking space at the hotel and continuing to the ferry harbour was convenient. Many restaurants and pubs are nearby within walking distance.
Great and easy check-in. Private entrance to the hotel. Free parking on site.
Price was really good comparing to other places in Turku. Room was big and spacious.
Beds were comfortable. Good and spacious bathroom.
Hotel is rather clean and very good situated for the purpose of our travel in Turku. There are three place for eat on the territory. Pretty easy to reach any necessary locations at Turku from the hotel place.
Beautiful 1920's style hotel and room.
Very comfortable and upscaled room, bed and pillows felt luxurious. Breakfast was delicious and offered amazing variety. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Very good renovation, and atmosphere very nice. Reception staff super friendly and helpful, specially Lotta.
As far as hotel facilities usually are, this hotel had a well-equipped gym..
I was surprised that this hotel is part of and attached to Hesburger. Unique concept, was skeptical when I pulled in, but was a great stay. I would most certainly stay at one again.
Great location – it's near the Turku Sea Port
Very clean, easy to find, extremely easy to check-in, fast Internet. Also a car parking slot is available
