The view was perfect, it seems that you're in the middle of the woods. The proximity with the ski station is convenient for activities. It was funny to go to breakfast in kicksled. The dishes fitted well in the environment.

I have been in several cottages in Finland but this one was something else. I definitely recommend it to all. You won't regret it. I picked this one through 18 other options for my weekend, and I've got a suggestion for you all: Just close any other tabs on your browser, and don't hesitate to pick this cottage. YOU WON'T REGRET!
Great cottage, nice location in the depth of nature. Super clean and beautiful cottage with lots of space for more than 7 people (we were 4 though).
one fireplace inside for a cozy atmosphere. lots of board games and even a Play station 3 in the cottage so you can enjoy a beautiful view of the fireplace, of the nature through the windows while chilling there. There is a beautiful lake on the other side of the road, and a nice pond just a few meters away from the cottage. There are two BBQ places outside (one sheltered), with all the equipment you would need. A storage where you could find wood, pans, etc.
Anything that you could think of is available in the cottage, (a full range of kitchen utensils for any kind of food you would like to cook). And a large size dishwasher that saves your time for doing the dishes. Dining table inside, and one outside if you're going there in the summer.
Two nice bedrooms that accommodate 4-5 people, and a gable room which accommodates 3 more. There are 3 extra mattresses for more people as well.
I should add that Tommi is a nice and kind owner, who cares about your stay and the quality time you're spending there.
Featuring a sauna, Ainola 1 is located in Syöte. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The apartment has a terrace and a sauna.

Great place for winter activities and relaxing in a scenic fell & forest setting. Accommodation available from a hilltop hotel to housing options to varied taste & budget, even with great views and next to slopes or skiing/trekking tracks. Some nice options for eating out as well but not a place for party sharks. Local grocery stores small with limited options, more selection 30-45 min drive away. Car is a necessity when not staying in a hotel. If skiing is not enough try e-fatbike or a husky safari.

The paths in the national park was surprisingly quiet.
The paths in the national park was surprisingly quiet. Paths all around were well taken care of.
The nature path at Pikku-Syöte had beautiful views.
The restaurant Hilltop on top of Iso-Syöte had good food, nice views and friendly staff. They also had several vegetarian options, unlike other restaurants in the area.
It was nice and easy to rent skis and sliding snow shoes. Paths were well stamped so it was also ok to walk without snow shoes.

We were in Syöte slightly off-season, mid August, it was very nice, peaceful and calm. Enjoyed the trails with our bikes and hiking as well. There is a small shop for necessities but I recommend shopping before coming to Syöte if you are going to cook and such. So many activities to do while enjoying the beautiful nature.
Breakfast was varied. We stayed in one of the suites which are a 15 minute walk away from the main hotel. Area is quiet and surrounded by nature. Suite was clean, comfortable, warm. Suite has a kitchenette with microwave. There is a small store in front of the hotel where you can buy food, alcohol, and other items. Suites have access to an enclosed fireplace and the hotel provides wood for it. It is nice to sleep under the stars due to the glass ceiling but you have to keep the room warm to keep the glass ceiling clear of snow.
This was the main aim of the trip. The log cabin was exceptional and very well equipped, warm, comfortable and a pleasant experience. The 'short' walk to the main hotel for breakfast etc on occasions did not feel that short! The breakfast buffet was good and covered all dietary requirements
The Husky and Reindeer trips were exactly as expected and worth every penny
The bus to the Market works well for a change of scene
Reception staff were very helpful in changing transfers as we changed our return travel plans
The location was convenient as the national park and the skiing routes were within a walking distance. The room had a nice view of Pikku-Syöte (the rooms on the other side had a view of the parking lot and you could see into the rooms walking by, so it's a good idea to ask for a room on the side of Pikku-Syöte if you value views and privacy). The room was nicely decorated. It was very convenient to have a kitchen.
Spacious 1-floor living area and functional overall layout for a comfortable stay
Breathtaking scenery towards Iso-Syöte
Private outdoor jacuzzi with the view plus a spacious sauna/bathroom with the view
Kitchen well equipped for cooking and tableware
Serene and private location
EV charging possibility
Access to Pikku-Syöte slopes from front door, super cross country skiing & trecking/biking routes nearby
