The fact that breakfast is designed by renowned master chef Sara LaFontain says it all. Variety of tastes and gourmet display in a pleasant environment in the Arctic restaurant. I stayed in a room with sauna. The room interior design is really unique and not to mention the quality coffee provided in the room. Staff was always available for additional info and great conversation.
Would definitely come back.

I had an absolutely extraordinary experience at Nova Galaxy Village during my one-night stay. The pods, though small, are perfectly suited and comfortably equipped for spending a night in the snow. The private sauna worked flawlessly and provided a unique experience that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Finland during the snowy months. Additionally, the husky sledding excursion was wonderfully timed and an absolute must-do. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable.

I don’t think you need a lot of time here in the spring or summer because a few of the tours don’t operate but it’s still worth visiting. Beautiful pristine area that reminds you of the beauty of nature.

The town lives in the shadow of Santa Claus Village but is worth sightseeing for itself. The modern architecture, the Arcticum museum, good infrastructure, nice surroundings - there is much to see and do for a couple of days.

A nice town at the arctic circle, museums, sporting facilities, theatre, shopping malls, reastaurants, hotels. It has an airport connected with Helsinki, Dublin, Brusseles (and perhaps more).
There is a whole village dedicated to the Santa Claus theme.
There are buildings made from ice during the winter, some hotels and wedding-places among them.

Rovaniemi is a really great city to visit.
Rovaniemi is a really great city to visit. In winter the city is under a lot of snow but has always trucks to get the snow out of the road, small rocks on the pavement to prevent from falling.
Rovaniemi has a lot of green tracks and its is lovely to follow them along the river. Great places for children to play too.
For dinner time, I can recommend the MonteRosa restaurant in the city center. Great and friendly service from all the employees, excellent food and drinks. (I can recommend the salmon soup, the grilled salmon and the reindeer cooked two ways).
For lunch, I went to Cafe & Bar 21. It was busy from 12 to 15 (I guess very popular) but nonetheless very enjoyable. Combining the bar/coffee with Yuca (a mexican restaurant) is great because people can have different lunch if wished. The deserts are also excellent.
For the activities, everybody can found something that they like. For the french people you can found the Nordic Odyssey office to book activities with a french translator (even if the english explanation I had where really understanding). It can always be helpful for the people who can't speak english.
You can found supermarket everywhere and some of them are open until 22:00 which is great.

I loved it all..the taxis are quite expensive but the bus was great..I loved it that much I wanted to extend my stay. I will be back to chase the Aurora, unfortunately it didn’t so due to skies full of snow.

Santa from the city center was better than the one in SCV (...
Santa from the city center was better than the one in SCV (at least for us). He was really communicative, giving us tips and tricks for aurora hunting. After we bought a picture we could take more with our own phone, made videos for our friends etc.
We love that there are different places where you can barbeque during the walking.
Lake from Artikum museum is a good place to see aurora. Loved the winter trails.
Souvenirs are cheaper in SCV than in the city center.
Suvi & Mikko were exceptional hosts. Everything was so flawless starting from the location of the property to the view from the property and above all the warm welcome from our hosts. The property is perfect for a peaceful getaway while still being close to the city center where all tours operate from. The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay and have a great role to play in the lifetime memories we captured on our first Finland visit.
We stayed in a Nordic Cottage, which we loved. It was very spacious, had beautiful high ceilings, a cozy fireplace and its own sauna. The staff was attentive and friendly.
The food quality was very good. One out of 4 hotels we stayed at in Finland, having a proper espresso machine (included in the buffet breakfast).
We missed the gym/fitness, but it's generally applicable for most accommodations I looked at in Lapland.
A great hotel centrally located in Rovaniemi town centre. Easy walking distance (even in minus 19 degrees) to the local shops, restaurants and lots of activities. If you want to go to Santa Park, or Santa's Village, the bus stop is literally alongside the hotel, and comes regularly.
We had a great stay, comfy beds, lovely staff and great full breakfast included. There was really nothing more we could have asked for.
Our room was not as in the picture on Booking.com site.
The size was good but the bathroom was total caos!
Tiles missing, a sharp edge of the sink “inside” the shower. And I found the floors to be dirty or stained. The room is old. We booked to be in the SCANDIC hotel, but we were put in the Lapland tour building. Had to go out in the cold for breakfast, to by water and the elevator doesn’t work after 18:00
The hostel was clean with fresh sheets provided.
The kitchen facilities were very good
- young woman with blonde hair was really lovely and helpful
- There are guides where you can read through activities on what to do in Lapland
- Shop isn’t too far away, you can have very cheap meals which is good
- near Santa clause village, good if you want to see Santa, bad if you don’t want to see Santa
The hotel is located right in the center of Rovaniemi. In 5-10 minutes you are able to reach both shopping malls, restaurants, cafes, winter tour organizations.
Room temperature was average for winter season, we weren’t freezing.
Restaurant on the ground floor hosts breakfast and it looks really cozy and pleasant. Food and its variety are good.
The apartment was perfect for our stay in rovaniemi, its an easy walk into the town centre, the apartment was clean and warm, the sauna was great, the TV was great. The hosts were brilliant, giving very clear instructions. If you want somewhere to stay in rovaniemi, this is the place!
We had the family room with 2 separate bedrooms and 6 beds in total. It was very spacious and well appointed. It really did exceed my expectations. The hotel had fantastic amenities for kids and we happily spent a day here enjoying the hotel and didn't leave once.
Perfect place to stay.. Close to one of the best spots to see the auroras (black of the Artikum museum). Clean & comfortable. At first we were looking for a hotel room but with the snow and the vibe of Rovaniemi this apartment was so cozy. Highly recommend.
the breakfast spread was amazing, the service was fantastic and helpful, everything was clean, and the sauna was par excellence. even the lounge area was great- you could read books on Finland in their solarium or by the fireplace. seriously no complaints.
The hotel boasts an excellent location, complemented by a delightful breakfast and an outstanding restaurant. Additionally, the room features a well-functioning sauna, adding to the overall appeal of the stay.
The apartamente was clean, very comfortable, and the owner was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Rovaniemi.
It’s a little outside Rovaniemi, in a forest. I love thé ease of walking in the forest from the hotel. It’s also a nice walk to the town center and the science museum.
