This is an amazing place.
This is an amazing place. Acomodation was simply great for families with children and even couple or group of friends. Host was extremely helpful and very responsive to help and guide. House was very neat and tidy and best of all just few meters away from lake, view was breathtaking. Recommend friends and family.

The best in Imatra are the wonderful sand beaches and the lakes. It is EASY to get there if you have a car. The best place to eat is the Buttenhoff restaurant in the center. We also had a lunch in a nice restaurant/ Café Sula right next to the river Vuoksi. Unfortunately Imatra is suffering from lack of tourists and many shops in the center are empty, if people could put their art /photos on the windows the center would be nicer. The waterfall was a powerfull attraction especially in the evening. I would go next time again to the very special Veteran museum opposite the Valtionhotelli .

There will be an Imatra rapids show (Imatran koskinäytös) till end of August, starting 18.00 everyday for some 20 minutes water discharge from the dam. Some music serenades the show. However, beware of those annoying mosquitoes and bring repellents!

This is a wonderful place with Finland spirit - authentic, meditational and strong! I need it at least twice a year - to recharge by batteries, and to get the energy to live in speedy Moscow! We will be back shortly!!

I love Imatra very much.
I love Imatra very much. Visit it almost every year because it is not far from my home town. However it is not only locality but also its nature, clean air, scenery, good food and peaceful atmosphere that attracts me a lot.
The suite we stayed in was very nice, spacious and clean. Good value for money.
Breakfast had a decent selection on offer, and tasted very good.
The spa itself which was the reason we were there was amazing and fulfilled our expectations. A little dated in places, but it had many different pools, saunas and jacuzzis to try out. It seemed to be well maintained and the staff were helpful. Excellent for a family with small kids, and one of the best spas I have been to in Finland.
This is a self check-in hotel and it was simply immaculate. We were both so impressed with the standard of cleanliness. We arrived by car, but noticed that there is a bus stop almost in front of the property for those without a vehicle. The bathrooms had plenty of hot water and were bright and cheerful. Even though the property is located near an intersection, it's very quiet at night and the rooms have good soundproofing. Great value for money and we would definitely return.
The property is spacious, clean and nicely decorated. We stayed in larger house with our 2 children, 10 and 16 years old, and it was a perfect fit for us. You can both enjoy nature - there is a lake close by, and plenty of trails in the forest - as well as civilization. There is a hotel at the other side of the road, with SPA, bowling and byciles rental, as well as a nice restaraunt on the lake. Imatra town is at 5 min ride and has many stores and other facilities.
The view was amazing and the location was great for us - it was walking distance to the Saimaa Club Hotel and the Angry Birds theme park. The living space was huge and the bedrooms were also very big. In the summer I can imagine it would be lovely because it is just metres from the shore and there is a nice outdoor area. There was a nice fireplace and the sauna heated up quickly. There were two good sized bathrooms and laundry facilities.
We expected little but got more: staff was genuinely trying be hospitable and make us comfortable, breakfast was clearly trying to mach the big breakfast buffets of finer hotels and was very satisfying and though the customers of the pub downstairs seemed a little too drunk, in the end they caused us no disturbance and our rooms were quiet. We would definitely visit this hotel again!
A very spacious living room with the fireplace, large windows and forest views. It's great that there was a clothes dryer in the apartment. The kitchen was well equipped. The spa, cross-country ski area and nature trail are within a walking distance.
The chalet apartment was perfect for our family with a lake view and private sauna. We enjoyed the spa facility, especially the swimming pools. We went bowling and played games in the large arcade game room.
Perfect location - short walk to the town center. Natalia, the host, was very accommodating. The apartment is very quiet and well equipped - ideal for a family stay. Highly recommend!
Close to the center and ski locations if you have a car. Very good price and the room for 3 definitely is worth its money. The host is very caring and responsive.
