This is an amazing place.
This is an amazing place. Acomodation was simply great for families with children and even couple or group of friends. Host was extremely helpful and very responsive to help and guide. House was very neat and tidy and best of all just few meters away from lake, view was breathtaking. Recommend friends and family.

The best in Imatra are the wonderful sand beaches and the lakes. It is EASY to get there if you have a car. The best place to eat is the Buttenhoff restaurant in the center. We also had a lunch in a nice restaurant/ Café Sula right next to the river Vuoksi. Unfortunately Imatra is suffering from lack of tourists and many shops in the center are empty, if people could put their art /photos on the windows the center would be nicer. The waterfall was a powerfull attraction especially in the evening. I would go next time again to the very special Veteran museum opposite the Valtionhotelli .

There will be an Imatra rapids show (Imatran koskinäytös) till end of August, starting 18.00 everyday for some 20 minutes water discharge from the dam. Some music serenades the show. However, beware of those annoying mosquitoes and bring repellents!

This is a wonderful place with Finland spirit - authentic, meditational and strong! I need it at least twice a year - to recharge by batteries, and to get the energy to live in speedy Moscow! We will be back shortly!!

I love Imatra very much.
I love Imatra very much. Visit it almost every year because it is not far from my home town. However it is not only locality but also its nature, clean air, scenery, good food and peaceful atmosphere that attracts me a lot.
The view was amazing and the location was great for us - it was walking distance to the Saimaa Club Hotel and the Angry Birds theme park. The living space was huge and the bedrooms were also very big. In the summer I can imagine it would be lovely because it is just metres from the shore and there is a nice outdoor area. There was a nice fireplace and the sauna heated up quickly. There were two good sized bathrooms and laundry facilities.
Welcoming staff and clean place. Spacious minimalist and comfortable rooms.
Good choice of reasonably priced restaurants and a convenience store within the hotel building.
Fun swimming pool and entertainment on offer.

We were able to check in 2 hours early without notice and access the swimming pool straight away so that was nice.
I came to Imatra for the Saimaa Cycle Tour, which started right next to the hotel, so the location was perfect for the purpose of the trip. The location in Imatra is otherwise very good as it is in the very center of the city.
The hotel building has unique architecture and inner structure is different from newer hotels.
I was here many many times and in general this is a great hotel. I'm a bit sad, that not all rooms has tea/coffee in the room, but you anyway will get a nice quite place, really comfortable with an access to waterpark. There are many hiking trails around, beautiful nature, good food and nice personal
Modern hotel with easy access and perfect staff. Good wifi covers all hotel spaces. Sauna 1h for women and 1h for men. Good and complete breakfast. And very good extra goods in the room like vanity kit, earplugs, shoe spoon, etc. Thanks to everybody in this hotel!
Hotel owner was kind and friendly. Room was nice and staff had put extra effort for the extra bed for our kid. We spent exceptional evening by the river. It was a lovely experience to swim in the river Vuoksi and bath in the authentic rantasauna just by the river.
A very spacious living room with the fireplace, large windows and forest views. It's great that there was a clothes dryer in the apartment. The kitchen was well equipped. The spa, cross-country ski area and nature trail are within a walking distance.
Very easy check in even in the late hours - very easy communications with the landlady in english☺️ the flat is cute - stylish furniture :) very close to the small city centre👍 clean!
Perfect location - short walk to the town center. Natalia, the host, was very accommodating. The apartment is very quiet and well equipped - ideal for a family stay. Highly recommend!
Very private, very clean, quiet location, sporting center nearby, golf club, tea/coffe in the lobby, no coffe machine in the room, thou. No bathroom items , like shampoo, soap, etc.
The house was clean and very well maintained and well equipped! The location is wonderful and provides you with an opportunity to enjoy beautiful nature of Finland.
Close to the center and ski locations if you have a car. Very good price and the room for 3 definitely is worth its money. The host is very caring and responsive.
