Hotel is very basic with somehow outdated look, but beds were comfortable, rooms were warm and big, shower was clean and functional. Location was very central! Staff was attentive and friendly.

A lovely place! There were few tourists so it was possible to really enjoy the sites. Attractions are very close to each other and the most important ones can be covered in a day or two. It is highly recommended to make the 15 minute trip to Baeza, which is smaller but utterly charming. My two favourites: The Sinagoga del Agua (a must) in Úbeda, and walking the surroundings of the Cathedral and the Walls in Baeza. The journey there is also beautiful, as Jaen province is delightful.

Ubeda is a beautiful little city with loads of great things to see, the walls, churches, town hall etc. and local shops/galleries. There is also a huge range of restaurants and eateries (a great ice-cream shop) the views of the surrounding area are stunning. I would recommend staying within the old town walls, a little bit more expensive but worth it for being near to everything by foot.

Doesn't have the tourism magnetism like Córdoba or Granada, but especially if you have to cross nearby, it is worth to spend a day in Ubeda, Baeza and Jaen area.
Represents a different architecture, different landscapes, a more pristine way of living, with less tourism friction

Ubeda is a beautiful city and so is its sister, Baeza.
Ubeda is a beautiful city and so is its sister, Baeza. Both must be seen. You can ask for a tour guide (different spots in the center town) or do a tour on your own but you may miss out on some important information about the historic structures, the "patrimoine" the heritage buildings. One quick point: although our guide was very savvy and knowledgeable, I found the two and a half hours of the tour a bit heavy in Ubeda: too much info and not enough time to satisfy my curiosity when visiting. On the other hand, the Baeza tour guide was also savvy and knowledgeable but he gave us time to appreciate the historic buildings. To eat in the South of Spain is like saying "where is the fridge in this house" - there are eatery places, from cafés, bars, restaurants for every liking and budget. One does not need a car to get around Ubeda. There are always things to do anywhere you look.

The whole of Ubeda is listed as World Heritage for a reason.
The whole of Ubeda is listed as World Heritage for a reason. They are also working actively to bring more sites to the fore. You can get the best selection of teas, needed in the cold days; best at Bar Las Flores, tiny with good prices. Can't list all the sites, there are too many. We did the free walking tour, in Spanish only, starting at the office in Calle Real 13 - excellent guide with very clear diction.

An incredibly interesting place to visit.
An incredibly interesting place to visit. There are historic buildings on every corner of the old town. It is a joy just to wander about looking.
As it is not easy for me to walk far it was a delight to take the tourist train, ensuring that we missed nothing. I was pleased to see many of the beautiful old buildings preserved tastefully as hotels. There were plenty of restaurants and bars around and free tapas too, as it is in Jaén
The location was PERFECT! It was close to everything but on a side street that was virtually silent at night. The host sent specific directions for both check-in and parking in advance so we could check-in at our leisure without having to worry about meeting someone. Parking was a 3 minute walk from the apartment and was a simple in-out with a pass card, simply effortless. The apartment was spotless, with clean crisp linens and soft towels. The kitchen was well equipped for light cooking. We will stay here again!
Great location close to old part of Ubeda with nice bars & restaurants( try Le Bistro to left of hotel in small placa). Hotel is a family home with wonderful rooms and decor going back generations. Your host, Pepe, is great and serves you a very good breakfast. Rooms are spacious and immaculate. Nice cool terrace garden with great birdlife. Rooms are cool in high temps but aircon if needed. Great three days-good base for touring the area. Do not miss Cazorla national park!! Thanks Pepe!
The owner of the apartment is nice and helpful, the room has little fridge and microwave what is really helpful during summer days,at least some cold water could be always a available. Room is recently renovated thus bathroom is very stylish and confortable. Moreover i liked the location, since there was no problem with parking place nearby and all tourist attractions are within 10min of walk.I do recommend this place
Couldnt be in a more perfect spot - just round the corner from the Parador, 50 yards to the main square in the old town. Comfortable, modern & clean. Hosts only a short message away and very amenable. The old town is amazing - such a wealth of history. We also arrived on a fiesta night, so fireworks, musicians and folk in full battle reenactment costume made Saturday a special atmosphere
It was a great experience having the opportunity to stay at the hotel. It is the family home of Pepe, who runs the hotel. It’s amazing to see all of the original furnishings and decor that have been preserved over the years. We really enjoyed hearing from Pepe about the history of his home and family.
Very comfortable property set in an excellent location with a lovely host! We were 2 couples and stayed for 2 nights. The place is spacious with a private patio and well equipped. Almost next door to the most beautiful part of Ubeda. Excellent tips from the host. Highly recommended!
The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The hotel is in the centre of Úbeda, so it was perfectly located for walking around the interesting city.
The room was a splendid example of pink Renaissance decoration. The breakfast was a good experience, with very kind service.
The Parador is located in the heart of the old town and ideal for sightseeing. The building itself forms part of the towns rich heritage. It has a good restaurant showcasing some of the areas best produce - dishes and service were excellent and the prices very reasonable.
Historic bed and breakfast located in quiet older section of Ubeda. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast has many choices; some items are not on the menu like fruit and cheeses that you can ask for. Walk up Calle Real for other dining options.
a lovely hotel with a nice patio. Room was a beautiful combination of stone frescoed walls and modern amenities. Bed was very good. Excellent breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff. Location perfect for walking historic Ubeda and parking nearby.
Very nice and authentic place in Ubeda. The building has lots of heritage with a beautiful courtyard and a nice little square outside the hotel. The breakfast is based on local ingredients and awesome.
Definately a strong recommendation
Fabulous spacious room. Super comfy large bed. Quiet. Great view with small balcony. Underground secure parking. It's 15 - 30 mins walk into the old town but after a day's driving, you need the exercise!
The location to all the sights and the free parking was priceless.
The breakfast was generous and very good.
The proprietor was delightful and very helpful in directing us to the sights.
