Although quite a challenging drive the hotel is in a beautiful area. We stayed here 20+ years ago when it was very traditional prior to buying a property locally. Having now moved on we revisited the area to see old friends and booked the hotel again. It is better! The same traditional setting but with all mod cons. Great rooms with fantastic views, exceptional restaurant food at both breakfast and dinner plus helpful attentive staff. Recommend.

Cottage was very comfortable. Good sized bathroom and shower. Kitchen is outside as it says on information. Very well equipped.

We liked the fact that it was non touristy and typically Spanish. Plenty of walks around the area but transport is limited so if you want to sre other places nearby then a car is recommended.
Staff very helpful and accommodation hood only lacking a kettle in the room. We tended to eat out locally as eating times in the hotel were late breakfast only served from 9am until 10.30 whivh was late if you needed to leave early. However, there were plenty of local cafes in the town itself that served breakfast.

A great base for exploring this part of the Parque Nacional...
A great base for exploring this part of the Parque Nacional Sierra de las Nieves. Some great hiking from here or or within a short drive. Steep and narrow twisty streets, but you can find parking at the lower levels if spooked by the driving challenge. Well kept and smart village.
Limited accommodation options. But can recommend Hostal de La Plaza Tolox. (Note it IS an eight bedroom hotel not a hostel/hostal).
A very new, modern styled house with big windows, lots of natural light coming in, a private terrace with swimming pool and a fancy climate control system with floor heating and aircon. It is close to hiking trails starting from Tolox which is just 5 minutes by car or a 20-25 min walk to the start of some beautiful trails. We arrived at new years eve Dec 31th and everything was closed for 2 days, and José the host was so sweet by bringing us some food to get through the next day. This was very much appreciated!
It's a very nice and calm place, the hotel is situated in the old and beautiful garden - I didn't even know it can be so green in Andalucia. A very special place with a history.
Usually default hotels we've been in the province were noisy and people don't sleep and are loud until very late. This one is NOT. We were looking for a calm place to rest in nature and this is definitely the one! The garden is beautiful and atmosphere is very nice.
We couldn't fault the hotel at all, rustic charm.
The staff were exceedingly helpful, friendly and accommodating, great facilities, beautiful location ideal for our walking holiday.
Breakfast buffet was very fresh and varied.
Dinner menu was varied and the food was sensational with huge portions.

Swimming pool was closed at the beginning of April but staff recommended little pools in the river where to refresh for a bit.
The villa is very modern and located at an amazing spot right at the quiet edge of Tolox. It’s very spacious and has everything you need. There’s even a garage for your car. The view is simply beautiful. The owners are always available for any questions or suggestions.
Property was exceptional. Very clean and well equipped. Hosts were amazing and although Tolox is a city where English is not fluently spoken, they tried their best to help accommodate us as best as they could. We couldn’t ask for anything more 🫶 Best hosts in Spain.
We enjoyed a very pleasant 4 days in Tolox. The apartment is very clean and well-situated on the edge of the town - very convenient for walks and to exercise our dog safely. The apartment is well-equipped and it was easy to keep warm in February.
I loved everything about this place. I felt like I had a home in Tolox. It was a massive apartment basically. I wasn’t expecting such a lovely place. It’s right by the main square. I am already planning to return. And my dog was welcome too!!

Beautiful agricultural setting on the outskirts of Tolox. Very reactive host, great sounds of cattle horses dogs and chickens etc.

what’s not to love? Charming hotel; beautiful views: perfectly quiet and relaxing and truly awesome food. We could have stayed longer just to get everything in the menu. each meal was delicious and innovative.
Fabulous location for hiking and amazing view from the hotel down into the valley. The restaurant served delicious food and a pleasant buffet for breakfast.
