It seems like nearly every other Spanish beach town.
It seems like nearly every other Spanish beach town. There is an overly-crowded beach in the center with an equally-crowded promenade around it. Once you get a little ways outside the city the beaches are much better and mainly just have locals escaping the "gringos asados" like me. The town is busy and it looks like there is a lot to do. If you like crowds, then you'll love the weekends during the summer. Traffic was a bit nuts on the weekend. Honestly, with so many other amazing places just a few kilometers away, it doesn't make a ton of sense to stay in Sanxenxo unless you really need conveniences like spas and motos de agua rentals. I stayed 4km out of the center and it was a totally different world -- to me, a better world.

cleanliness of cafes- especially the Park at top of hill at end of promenade and their friendliness and politeness.
The Mia Casa shop selling "home" bits and bobs - doing their very best to understand our English needs! as did all the supermarkets and Burger King!!!
But most of all for the pleasantness of the owners of our apartment,s son Antonio.

Sanxenxo is a hidden gem.
Sanxenxo is a hidden gem. We stayed June 8 through 16 and the temperature was cool and comfortable but were not able to go swimming due to the temperature however we walked and had the most beautiful scenery for breakfast and dinner. It was like being in a movie.
It is a lovely hotel outside of Sanxenxo, great location to visit the area. Although it is next to the main road, it was quiet, not as busy as the town itself, plus there are double-glazed windows.
But first of all, the facility touch of the hotel, the way Vanessa welcomed us, treated us, it has been fully amazing. She made sure I would have special milk for breakfast, even though we arrived late the previous night.

Lovely breakfast including fresh orange juice, toast, cheese, ham, jams and various cakes and fruit. You can enjoy it on the terrace overlooking the sea.
Just a minute or two walk away from one of the small beaches, and you can walk almost continuously along the beach to the main promenade of Sanxenxo.
Room was great. I really only needed it for sleeping. The hotel is located a short walk from an excellent beach. The staff is truly outstanding and makes the hotel. I was spoiled for advice on places to go and things to see. It's clear the people who work there like the area and want to make sure that people see all the many things it has to offer. I give the hotel a 9 and the staff a 15!
The room was quite big and, even though it faced the road, it was very quiet. Renovated WC, very clean and quite comfortable. Breakfast was very good with plenty of variety and homemade cakes. It also had a section for celiacs, which was nice to see. The swimming pool was great and big enough for everyone! The hotel is a short walk to Lanzada beach, which is worth a visit.
The hotel was perfect for what we needed. Really simple yet smart and beautifully furnished. The swimming pool was lovely and the sun beds were really comfy. It was within easy walking distance of two beaches. The staff were also fantastic and went out of their way to be helpful, especially on the day we checked out.
Very pleasant hotel in Sanxenxo. Owner was very nice and helpful, room was perfect, terrace as well. Hotel is situated between beaches Silgar and Portonovo, but already in nice quiet surrounding. Crossing the road can be little bit challenging, but we did not mind at all. Parking on spot was very convenient.
The owner, Juan José, and his wife are super— very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is a wonderful combination of old and new. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was spotless. Breakfast is ample, and the property is pleasant. Centrally located to visit this beautiful part of Galicia.
The staff was super friendly. We had a problem with the heater and it was solved within 20 min. Pretty quiet apartment. The location is perfect, just 2 min walk to the beach. I would definitely recommend it for a stay in Sanxenxo.
